Hey TUT Fam!

The Limpopo Varsity Havkathon (LVH) activation yesterday at the University of Limpopo was nothing short of excellent.

This activation served as a reminder to students to register for the upcoming 5th LVH that will be hosted by the Tshwane University of Technology in partenrship with the University of Limpopo, the University of Venda, as well as MLab.

The day included:

Hey TUT PLK Fam,

Today the Risk Management Office visited our campus to conduct a Fraud Awareness Campaign.

This session aimed at enhancing awareness and encourage active participation to all TUT staff members in the prevention and reputation of fraud, corruption, misconduct, and unethical behavior within the University environment.

Mmabotse Mooke, Risk Coordinator at TUT and the day’s speaker, highlighted the importance of complying with the TUT values: Resilience, Excellence, Accountability, Diversity, & Stewardship (READS), encouraging staff members to report against fraud, corruption, and mismanagement.

Hey PLK Fam!

On 20 May 2026, the Tshwane University of Technology Polokwane Campus successfully hosted the Break the Silence, Heal the Mind awareness event at the Library Extension. 🧠✨

The initiative, led by the Directorate of Health and Wellness & SGLD Top Programmes, created an important platform for conversations around mental health, healing, and support within the campus community.

A sincere thank you to our collaborating partners - Correctional Services, SAPS, SANCA Limpopo, and CHOiCE Trust - for contributing to the success of this impactful event.

Together, we continue to promote awareness, encourage dialogue, and support mental wellness. 💙

Hey PLK Fam!

Stepping out of student life and into the world of work can be exciting and a little intimidating too.

The dialogue hosted by the Student Affairs and Extracurricular Development at Tech 9 aimed to prepare Tshwane University of Technology students for that transition by sharing real-world insights, workplace skills, and practical tools to help them confidently navigate and succeed in their careers.

Tell us your experience when you transitioned from being a student to what we call “official adulthood” in the comments.
