Congratulations to the NMU eBaja Team on an outstanding achievement at the 2026 ACTS UFS Eco Vehicle Event, where they successfully defended their title and WON the 1-Hour Enduro Event for the second consecutive year! ๐
Made up of talented Mechanical, Mechatronics and Electrical Engineering students, the team demonstrated exceptional teamwork, professionalism, preparation and strategic excellence as they competed against a highly competitive field of institutions.
Their ability to balance performance and energy efficiency in a challenging eMobility format, while overcoming demanding conditions, is a true testament to their innovation, resilience and engineering expertise.
This remarkable achievement reflects the power of cross-disciplinary collaboration and the calibre of our future engineers. We are incredibly proud of the 16 student team members who represented Nelson Mandela University and the Faculty of Engineering, the Built Environment and Technology with distinction.
