"Education is the key to success" this has been the most popular motto from our childhood and we have tried to live up to it despite the weakness of our Education system. Sincere Greetings to all students of The People’s University.

The Publication date for the final exam results is on Friday the 09th of April 2021 however there's still a huge number of students who haven't received their results on the ITS . We can only hope that this won't prevent these students from viewing their final exam results on Friday . We also send the most humble request to the relevant stakeholders, for them to ensure that all students receive their results on the ITS.

First years have been permitted to register online but the challenges experienced by first years are quite confusing and deeply disturbing .A first year student is either blocked from registration due to outstanding fees even though they have paid the registration fee or they are simply blocked from registration. This then makes us to strongly disagree with the text messages received by students which inform them about the cancellation of their courses if they have failed to register on time and the stipulated closing date which is on the 9th .The institution must have an alternative option to this ,and of which we'd like to propose an extended registration date for all students.No student should be left behind ! This shall enable students to handle their academic related matters without any unnecessary pressure.

The communique we received from the institution states that first year students should report on campus however it doesn't provide direction on when should students return to their residences. We have students coming from different walks of life and various provinces.It is wise and fair to allow students to access their residences before they may go to their campuses. This is the only way for us to ensure safety and security. The University did state that accommodation will be sorted out on the 12th and students shouldn't worry about accommodation. Isn't it strange that students are currently worried about the latter? Let us not treat students as if they are in kindergarten.

Lastly, the most deepest of concerns is the operation of all stakeholders as from the 12th of April 2021 . We really shouldn't be including this matter under our requests for this is how an institution is expected to operate .All Stakeholders should be in operation as from the 12th of April 2021 ! This is the only way wherein the institution may avoid to experience any clashes . This is to ensure that all students get the required assistance. The Departments seem to appear susceptible towards emails and calls .So they should rather report back to campuses in order to maintain an effective registration process.

STUDENTS ARE STILL ENCOURAGED TO WEAR THEIR MASKS AND TO COMPLY WITH ALL THE COVID-19 REGULATIONS .

Sincere Greetings to the student community at large. We have been facing so many ups and downs amidst the new normal however we never despaired.

We as TSRC PTA CAMPUS have contested the communique which tickled our temper and we are proud to say that SINGAPHEZULU. Students are to return to their respective residences on the 8th of January 2021 and kindly note that students are to decide to return or not as returning isn't compulsory for now.

Exams are to commence on Monday, the 11th of January 2021 and if students have assignments that require meeting,that must be done in small numbers.

Students who are in need of contact classes must go to their departments and register for them.NO GATHERINGS WILL PERMITTED ON CAMPUSES ‼️

Students who wish to attend classes shall receive a permit .We also encourage all resident students to adhere to the Covid-19 regulations.

The SRC shall be available on campus from the 7th of January in order to monitor the return of the students on the following day -8th January 2021.

Libraries, iCentres and clinics will be operating as normal however with controlled numbers of students.

The VC is set to release an official communique today .

Find the below progressive communique partaining all championed prevailing students' issues and challenges that we have resolved and won , we have challenged the management and we can tell you in good faith that we have achieved.

*NSFAS ALLOWANCES*
It is with great pleasure to announce that NSFAS allowances will be reflecting in your accounts as from tomorrow. This shall enable many students to focus on their academics without worrying .

*DATA BUNDLES*
The People’s University’s academic calendar shall end on the 31st of March 2021 and the institution shall continue loading data bundles for students up until the academic year ends.

*RESIDENCE EVACUATION*
Recess commences on the 18th of December 2020 and we are all returning on the 4th of January 2021. NO STUDENT IS EXPECTED TO VACATE FROM THEIR ROOMS ! Students are to occupy the same rooms in 2021 . The Director of ARLC is set to send a message to all Residences that states that students need not to vacate from their rooms.

Under no circumstances shall we decide to stand back and abandon matters which continue to serve as an impediment before our brothers and sisters.The SRC shall keep its eyes peeled .AMANDLA !!!
