🌍✨ RECLAIMING AFRICAN LANGUAGES ✨🌍
πŸ“š Identity | 🧠 Knowledge | πŸŽ“ Educational Transformation

African languages are more than just a means of communication β€” they carry our history, culture, wisdom, and identity. πŸŒ±πŸ—£οΈ

For too long, many indigenous languages have been sidelined in education and public life. It’s time to reclaim, preserve, and celebrate them as powerful tools for learning, innovation, and social transformation. βœŠπŸΎπŸ“–

When learners are taught in their mother tongue, they connect deeper, understand better, and thrive academically. 🌟 Education rooted in African languages strengthens cultural pride and builds inclusive, equitable societies. 🀝🏾🌍

Let us champion multilingual education, protect linguistic heritage, and empower future generations through the languages of Africa. πŸͺ˜πŸ—ΊοΈ

πŸŽ™οΈ Unisa Radio Interview | Ms Lesego Linda Plank

Join Ms Lesego Linda Plank as she shares insights on her research project, Reimagining Motherhood 🌸

πŸ—“ Monday, 13 April 2026
⏰ 11:30am – 12:00pm
πŸ“» Unisa Radio

Lesego’s work explores motherhood from a matrifocal perspective, focusing on the experiences of township daughters who have faced maternal absence and were raised by their fathers or paternal families. Her research highlights the role of β€œsocial” mothers and challenges the idea that motherhood is purely biological, using autoethnography as a key approach.

πŸ’¬ Don’t miss this powerful and thought-provoking conversation on family, identity, and redefining motherhood in South Africa.

Dr Albertina Luthuli, the daughter of chief Albert and Mrs. Nokukhanya Luthuli, in the 2006 Ronald Harrison book about her father, wrote in the Forward,

β€œThe book is a historical text, relating the history of a people who emerged from the depths of darkness into the light and hope. From 1994, following the first democratic election in the life of our country is moving forward…and hope that South Africa will be happy country for all who live in it, and that poverty, together with poverty-related diseases, will be eradicated”.
