Through entrepreneurial action, we strive towards making a sustainable and significant difference in the communities in which we work. Enactus of the University of Pretoria (UP) is a community of dedicated students from the University of Pretoria working together with academic and business leaders. Our aim is to create a better more sustainable world by using the power of entrepreneurial action. W
e, at Enactus UP want to make a significant difference by providing a platform to people where they can give life to their business ideas. To do this, we embark on a number of life changing social empowerment initiatives in numerous communities around Gauteng. Some of our current projects include the Zama Lesedi- a solar light project for communities without electricity, Fruitful Living- a food security project at the Tshwane market, and Hlumelelisa- a prisoner rehabilitation programme,
Through various leadership development modules as well as social responsibility projects Enactus UP encourages
- skills development and personal growth
- upliftment of communities or individuals in communities
- social empowerment instead of charity
