Today, our staff and students swapped the classroom for a little coffee & cookie kindness!

We headed over to 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗹𝘆𝗻 𝗦𝗔𝗣𝗦 to surprise the incredible men and women who work hard to keep our community safe with a small 𝗦𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 - a delicious sachet of coffee and some baked cookies to enjoy during a well-deserved moment of downtime.

Nothing fancy. Nothing complicated. Just a simple “𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰!”❤️ Because sometimes, a little sweetness goes a long way!

We welcomed 𝟭𝟬 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗴𝘂𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀 for a special 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗦𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻, designed to help elevate their breakfast offerings and create even more memorable experiences for their guests.

𝘽𝙞𝙜 𝙃𝙪𝙜𝙨 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙇𝙞𝙩𝙩𝙡𝙚 𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙨🧸

Today was one of those days that reminded us just how much joy can be found in the simplest things. 🥹🩵We had the absolute pleasure of visiting a beautiful, warm and welcoming school in Arcadia, 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗘𝗖𝗗, where we delivered all the second-hand, pre-loved teddies.

Each child got to choose their very own teddy to take home - and watching their little faces light up as they found their new furry friend was nothing short of precious and priceless.

The remaining teddies were donated to the school’s play centre, where they will continue to bring comfort, creativity and countless moments of joy.

And perhaps the sweetest part of the day? Our students felt like kids again! 😂 They thoroughly enjoyed interacting with the little ones, playing, laughing and soaking up every moment with these tiny humans.

A heartfelt 𝗧𝗛𝗔𝗡𝗞 𝗬𝗢𝗨 to everyone who opened their hearts and let go of their beloved, once treasured stuffies, so that they could become someone else’s special friend and make another little day a whole lot brighter.

𝟮𝟱 𝗗𝗔𝗬𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗨𝗕𝗨𝗡𝗧𝗨 𝗜 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝟮𝟬 🩷
𝙎𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙩𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙋𝙖𝙙 𝘿𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚

What started as a goal to collect 250 packets of sanitary pads became something so much bigger than we could have imagined. 🥹🩵

We are incredibly proud to share that, through the generosity of our amazing CHS family, students, staff, and community, we raised a whopping 𝟲𝟮𝟱 𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗱𝘀 - more than double our original goal! 🙌🎉

And what better way to celebrate this incredible achievement than with Ronel back on 𝗗𝗶𝗲 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝗢𝗻𝘁𝗯𝘆𝘁 to officially hand over the donations to 𝗘𝗻𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗼𝗽𝗲, a non-profit organisation supporting women and girls experiencing period poverty who cannot afford essential sanitary products. 🩷

Every packet represents dignity.
Every donation represents compassion.
And every contribution reminds us of the incredible impact we can make when we come together. 🩵

𝙋𝙧𝙖𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙘𝙖𝙡 𝙎𝙠𝙞𝙡𝙡𝙨 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙩 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚𝙨

Sometimes, it’s the little things that make someone feel cared for.

This week wasn’t only focused on training, but ensuring that our training candidates felt looked after, appreciated and part of our CHS family. So, each day, our students have been preparing fresh lunches with love, which were included in a food pack parcel prepared for each candidate. Each pack filled with a sandwich/pie, cooldrink, chocolate, chips and fruit snacks for them to enjoy throughout the day.

And every morning starts with a little something extra - freshly baked muffins and a good cuppa coffee to get the day going.

We’re so grateful to have been part of this journey and to have shared a little bit of the CHS spirit with you all.

Today, we’re shining a light on the learning, growth and skills development taking place in our classrooms and practical spaces.

Facilitated by Stephanie Maree, our 11 candidates worked through both the theoretical and practical components of this accredited skills programme, gaining valuable knowledge and hands-on experience in 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲.

From understanding the principles behind professional food and beverage service to putting that knowledge into practice, the programme equipped candidates with practical skills they can confidently take into the workplace.

They learned the correct techniques for setting and clearing tables, professional service, and wine and beverage service - building not only competence, but also confidence.

There’s something truly special about watching learning come to life - seeing new skills develop, confidence grow and knowledge transform into real-world experience.

Sometimes, the best way to give is to create an opportunity. Over the past few days, we put our focus on skills, possibilities and a brighter future.

🩵 Meet these 11 lovely individuals - each with their own story, dreams and potential, taking a step towards building a brighter future.

We welcomed these incredible candidates to CHS for an accredited 𝗙𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗔𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗺𝗲, facilitated over 3 full days, giving them the opportunity to develop valuable skills that can open doors within the hospitality industry.

For us, Ubuntu isn't always about giving something that can be used today. Sometimes, it’s about giving someone knowledge they can carry with them tomorrow. Because when you invest in people, the impact can go much further than you ever imagined.
