Mission
Our mission is the advancement of black charted accountants in Southern Africa. As a student chapter we aim to do this in varies ways.
Our Objective
To facilitate and encourage the entry of black students into the accounting profession thereby promoting their academic and professional excellence.
Promote vocational training and technical education in the accounting profession by involving the national body of ABASA.
To assist black studnets in obtaining access to accounting education and employment opportunities that will enable them to achieve their career aspirations and their career aspirations to their full potential.
To enable graduate members (students) to embark on training contracts which would open a way to their careers.
To ensure access of financial needy and deserving students to education by having bursary programs in place.
Bridging the information gap between the accounting profession and students.
ABASA is the oldest and largest professional membership organization focused specifically on Africans and people of color in the accounting, finance and business-related fields. ABASA represents more than 2000 professionals in business and industry, public accounting, government, nonprofit and education, including students preparing for careers in the profession.
When you are a member of ABASA, you are a part of a network that provides opportunities for growth. ABASAs members share and promote a professional ethos – "Lifting as we Climb!"
As an ABASA member, you'll receive:
