MEC KEKANA JOINS LIMPOPO BACK TO SCHOOL CAMPAIGN.

Sport, Arts and Culture MEC Nakedi Kekana joins the Provincial Government in its 2023 back- to-school campaign.

MEC Kekana will visit three schools in the Mopani District on Wednesday as schools reopen. She will also use the opportunity to encourage learners to engage in school sport, and other extracurricular activities that include arts and culture.

It is at the schools where MEC Kekana looks to promote the 2023 Netball World Cup as part of the Department’s effort to lure young ones to join the sport, and promote all women dominated sporting codes.There are 16 priority sporting codes as recognised by the Department, amongst them athletics, soccer, rugby, netball, tennis, volleyball, cricket, and softball.

MEC Kekana will also urge the learners to report any instance of Gender Based Violence (GBV) should they experience such harassment, and understand that law enforcement and teachers at the schools are there to support them fully.
