Dr Mosidi Makgae recognises people behind the governance reports
At the Institutional Excellence and Recognition Gala Dinner, MUT Chairperson of Council, Dr Mosidi Makgae, recognised the senior managers and support staff whose important contributions often take place behind the scenes. She emphasised the need to acknowledge the individuals who prepare the detailed reports and provide the information that guides Council’s decision-making, governance and oversight.
Dr Makgae noted that Council regularly relies on the expertise, diligence and professionalism of these officials, even though their work may not always receive public recognition. By ensuring that they were included in the gathering, she demonstrated her appreciation for their valuable role in supporting the University’s leadership and institutional processes.
She further highlighted that Mangosuthu University of Technology’s progress is a collective achievement. It is made possible not only by executive leadership, but also by the dedicated staff and teams whose commitment ensures that the University operates effectively, responsibly and in pursuit of institutional excellence.
