Open letter to Young people or Who ever reads it first

When societies choose to depart themselves from the many injustices of today ,by hiding in silent ignorance, and creating a sanctuary within the lies of a oppressive and exploitive systems I get concerned.

When leaders choose to depart themselve from the many injustices of today ,by hiding in silent ignorance, and creating a sanctuary within the lies of a oppressive and exploitive systems I get frustrated

But when the young people choose to depart themselves
from the many injustices of today ,by hiding in silent ignorance, and creating a sanctuary within the lies of a oppressive and exploitive systems I am disgusted...

The chains of imperialism ,the chains of colonialism, the chains of oppression assumed broken and to have been displaced from my people have found expression within the enticing fruit of capitalism and the gigantic trees we've tried to rename while securing their survival instead of removing.

It is foolishness to sing the national anthem in pride, celebrating a rainbow nation narrative that thrives on a misguided "all is well and forgiven lets sing together narrative ,dont worry about the land ,you will get to have some of your language's sung in the stem" ,a rainbow nation narrative that thrives on the ignorance of inequality , and a rainbow nation narrative that perpetuates a facade of tolerance and reconciliation between the oppressed and the oppressor .When are we planning to perpetuate a reconciliation of privilege to poverty ? When are we planning to demand more than a song ? When are we going to break down the barriers of inequality? Our inability to phantom a direct responsibility in when these questions must be responded to and how is as antogonising as placing our hands over hearts as we shout uit blou van ons se hemel. Hearts still challenged and threatened by stems of elitist exploitative systems , oppression ,unequal access to education ,and scars of colonialism...

Reflections as we celebrate national pride need us to take in what we have accomplished since 1994... The list is pretty amazing. The arms deal, Bheki Cele, Dina P**e, Emfuleni local municipality and maladministration , Baleka Mbethe and Gold fields , John hlophe, Inkwana local municipality and 54 million unaccounted for ,Joe matt - Pettersson with tender fraud and the abuse of tax payers money, Kokstad local municipality with 39 million fraudulent deficits , Mbomela local municipality and a 47 million water corruption deal that lead to deaths of 8 children due to cholera , tender corruption in the Mbombela world cup soccer stadium , Nkandla and it's 246 million price hike , Obed Mlaba, Public works and the 90 billion expenditure its being investigated for ,Jack Celebi, Travelgate involving 40 members of parliament, Aurora Scandal with Zuma, Marikana and the massacre of disgruntled mine workers , police brutality, open toilets ,Xenophobia and vicious attacks on our fellow African brothers who once gave us a home when ours was ruled by hatred and suffering , text book deficits ,poor service delivery .A president that tells us his party is more important than the country ,a revolutionary woman's league memorable march for the presidents p***s at a time students were being brutalised by police for being vocal about being poor, four billion private jet negotiations, million rand parliamentary furniture deals, mockery of the free education demand ,the political prostitution and deployment of ANC allies to silence poor students in institutions of higher learning ... that is our history. History that speaks volumes to me as an angry South African , volumes louder than the sweat and blood spilt to fight for this democracy and sell us dreams , volumes louder than the joyous screams and joyful tears of a nation in long lines waiting to vote on the 27th of April 1994 , volumes louder than the nonsensical political campaigns promising change and progress.

Joseph Stiglitz writes and says " Meaningful participation in democratic processes requires informed participants. Secrecy reduces the information available to the citizenry, hobbling their ability to participate meaningfully... We often speak of government being accountable to the people. But if effective democratic oversight is to be achieved then the voters have to be informed"...

Youth of 2015 you've been informed ,you've been at the center of a converging history and present, you haven't just seen the information on media it's been your life story ,The question today is what are you doing with your information?? What is your part in a meaningful participation ? A search for direction ,justice and purpose must never welcome hatred but it needs us to be honest with the epathy of the truth of our conditions , no culture, no man, no political organisation, no speech, no lie should make us forget ...
What will you welcome today ,more silence ?

The price of your freedom was our parents sweat and blood ... today you want to reject that cause and spit on their sacrifices because you want to go and write exams, and have a comfortable holiday while your parents sit and wonder how your fees will be paid , where registration fees will come from... I refuse to think my people's blood was spilt so I'd be part of a system that dictates what I can be by the amount of money I have at my disposal... many students don't see the value in this because they on busaries, where would you be if it wasn't for your busary, most of them have historical debts are special cases ,didn't even sign agreement forms (myself included) ,they are the same people who will be rejected by a system next year ,who will cry about fees ,accommodation and safety ... but now they are too academic to understand the cause of the time ... WAKE UP , this is not about politics ,not about institutions not about organisations it's about you ...

We didn't start out a campaign of fees must stay the same we said fees must fall ... We welcome the zero per cent speech but we will not be fooled who's to say what figure it will be the year after 2016 year or the year after, you can't negotiate with us and compromise our cause we are very clear ...

21/10/2015

In 1976 students took a stand in solidarity against a system that offered the african society a mockery of an education and compromised what they could achieve to be in future ,,... This they did regardless of thier different locations , background ,schools or the different colours of their uniforms ... It is the year 2015 and equally we find ourselves victims of a system of education that makes a mockery of the poor ,and that compromises what the underprivileged children of the still financially oppressed working class can be by not just commercialising education but by also putting a price on opportunity and closing the door on the poor ... Our parents sold their souls and bled blood for a struggle to allow us access to freedom and a better life , who would we be to betray the cause and be silent, when time has pushed the cause right at our doorstep and has reminded us of something greater than our political differences and ideologies , our shared pain ,afflictions and hope for a better tomorrow , ... With that said the rumours are true WSU mass action has taken shape today...yes !!! The field slaves are finally here ... TOGETHER FOR A PURPOSE GREATER THAN US ...

Ey mna ndiyi 96 generation, just out of curiosity... and a need to be taught and educated may I ask questions to all political organisations...., The establishment of SASCO in terms of higher institutions what function does it serve ? Or what brought about the need of SASCO in institutions of higher learning ? I follow up that question by asking what then birthed the extension of the ANCYL with these respective institutions and what particular mandate are they facilitating? That is contrary to SASCO and it's national mandate ? can we ignore the fact that on a governmental perceptive a lot has gone wrong in the country, nkandla ,marikana, bheki cele, dina p**e etc can We separate the politics and failures of the father from the children ...ndidlule DASO in a previously disavantaged and Black institution ,what is your mandate ? white privelige crippled our communities ,how can we allow policy that regrets positive discrimination and equity transformation ? Is maimane enough to tell us the politics of the NP have changed ? Ndidlule EFF and PASMA the world has called you siamese twins born from different fathers , structurally presenting a view that is contra the ANC in what you have deemed as a capitalist and imperial puppet of white privilege and a exploiter of the working class ... What is your mandate in institutions of higher learning is it to create a pool for the few national numbers you posses ? What change can you facilitate with your ideology in these respective institutions and how ?, lastly but not least SCO, when it comes to political conviction you belong to different political organisations outside of school don't you think you are crippling the ability of those political parties and organisations of mobilising numbers ,and truly compromising the capability of these organisations to aggressive implementation of their programs becaus they lose numbers through you becoming a political wing ? Why do you feel the need to be part of the political sector of higher institutions too ? What are you facilitating? Can we trust men who serves two masters ? presents political debate .... can I be answered please ...
