Kindly be advised of the following updated arrangements pursuant to Circular 8 issued yesterday, 23 February 2022.

Registration for all students
1. Students are notified that the late registration period for the University will close on Sunday, 27 February 2022.

2. The period for additions and cancellations of subjects will close on Friday, 04 March 2022 to allow students the opportunity to resolve queries regarding their registration.

University Academic Programme
1. The Academic Programme for the University will commence on Monday, 28 February 2022.

Registration update

NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS
Kindly be advised of the following arrangements pursuant to Circular 4 issued on 27 January 2022.

First – year students
The following information is of relevance to all applicants awaiting outcome of their applications and registration:
1. Application outcomes will be reflected on the website through an update on the “Status” of the application. SMS messages will also be sent to successful applicants and statuses will be updated regularly.

2. The University will open Late Applications where programmes have not met the required quotas, from 07 February 2022 until 11 February 2022. These online applications will be opened for all qualifying students in the following Faculties, Departments and available programmes:

2.1. Faculty of Applied and Computer Sciences: All Departments and programmes.

2.2. Faculty of Engineering: All Departments and programmes.

2.3. Human Sciences: All programmes in the Visual Arts Department (Fine Art, Graphic Design, Fashion and Photography), Ecotourism Management and Food Service Management only.

2.4. Management Sciences: All Accountancy Department programmes (Financial information systems, Cost and management accounting, Internal auditing) only.

Returning Students
Registration for returning students has been opened and continues until Friday, 11 February 2022.

NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTS: Registration Update

Kindly be advised of the following arrangements pursuant to Circular 3 issued yesterday, 26 January 2022.

First-year students:
Registration is open for all admitted first-year students. All self-funded and bursary students may start registering. Please note that a minimum fee of R2200 is payable prior to registration for all non-NSFAS funded students.

All NSFAS-funded students will await funding decisions to be made prior to commencement of their registration.

All finance related queries should be directed to the Finance Department.

Returning students:
Registration will open from Monday, 31 January 2022 for all returning students as communicated yesterday.

To VUT Community: FAKE CAPITEC BANKING DETAILS ON SOCIAL MEDIA

VUT Management is aware of the attached fake message asking unsuspecting students to deposit money into a Capitec Account No: 16-0220-0422 with branch code: 470010. This is a FAKE bank account.

We urge all students to be vigilant and take note of the official VUT banking account details as stated below. This information is also available on the VUT website (www.vut.ac.za).

Deposits can be made at any ABSA branch:

Branch code : 632005
Reference : student number or ID number

It has become common practice every January, for the faceless people to circulate false information on behalf of the University with the intention of scamming unsuspecting students of money that is intended for registration and tuition fees.

The VUT Management will always issue a formal communique to advise all students of any changes or updated information that they need to take note of.

Please remain vigilant.
