Entertainment Society - ES Entertainment Society is a society that aims to centralize students that have talents in the arts and entertainment fields.

Entertainment Society is an affiliated society that aims to centralize students that have talents in the arts and entertainment fields. Its primary aim is to bring unity among different performers of entertainment at the University; if there should be an event that takes place, students with relevant talents to the event taking place can be easily located and summoned to perform. The society aims

to give students a chance to display their talents in order for them to be recognized so that students can stretch themselves by realizing what their true potential is. Our secondary aim is build on the current skills of the individuals through peer-to-peer knowledge sharing. This building of knowledge will take place through interaction of one individual with another; by sharing ideas and experiences, knowledge and skills can be developed in this way.

Just want to let all Dj's know that the annual Redbull Campus Class will be happening again this year. It will be happening during the Month of May, I have advocated that our Dj's enter this year. Will provide with more information as soon as it is communicated to me.

In basic - Dj's have 1 minute to play a mix and impress the crowd and 3 Judges, the winner ends up in Cape Town and Rebull head Studio and a lot more. so if you interested, make sure you keep brushing up on your 1 minute sets!!

Last night was a great SUCCESS!!! On behalf of Entertainment Society, we would like to thank SRC for making us part of the organization and co-ordination of yesterday's event.

We would also to thank all those that came and supported the event - thank you guys, you all partied with a purpose.

On the side of the DJs at the DJs competition, well done to the five that made it to play at the NWU Rag (2014) event, their names are as follows:

The Dj competition begins at 19:00, (Olivier Tshimbidi - CSRC Projects Officer & CSRC PRO) expects all Dj's to be present at the Big Lapa by 18:00.

So that we can get you all in order for the competition. anyone who fails to be in the green room(artist area) inside the Big lapa before or on 18:15, will automatically forfeit their position.

Guys this is no joke. If anyone who is in the top 10, is not there when registration takes place at 18:15 NO EXCUSES WILL BE ACCEPTED, you will automatically be removed from the competition.

Registration to take place in green room at 18:15 by Loyiso/DW who will make sure that all the Dj's are present,

All the best gents!!!

All DJ's Taking part in the competition will be allowed to enter in the venue upon receiving a stamp at the entrance, you will all be given something to wear around your neck to just indicate that you are a dj taking part in the di competition.

A friendly notification to all that auditioned today: It doesn't mean just because you are not on the top 10 list you are out of the list. We have a bigger plan for you in the long run regarding events at NWU and for those not familiar with using Jacks - to give you the opportunity to learn how to use them.

The gear tomorrow will be a lot more sophisticated than today's gear. Pioneer 900s and DJM800 Mixer. You will now only be given 5 minutes to give it your all.
