aspects of the VUT Policy
on HIV Infection and
AIDS, particularly through

Prevention of new HIV, STI
and TB infections through
-Awareness campaigns,
-Condom distribution
-Education and training
-Community engagement
-Alcohol and Drug Abuse,
-Gender Violence, Multiple Sex
Partners

Commemorate calendar
events such as
-STI and Condom Week Campaign
-Candlelight Commemoration
-Red Ribbon Month and World
AIDS day Celebration
-Protection of Human Rights
-Peer Education Programmes
amongst VUT staff and students. Addressing Behavioral Factors that drive HIV and AIDS, STI's and TB i.e Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Gender Violence, Multiple Sex Partners etc. Promoting the development of HIV and AIDS-Related Curricula and Research on all VUT faculties. Fostering partnership with Internal and External Stakeholders. Ensure alignment with Higher Education AIDS (HEAIDS) Programme at VUT.
