🎓 2026 TVET MONTH CELEBRATION: INNOVATIVE PATHWAYS TO A BRIGHTER FUTURE 🎓

Mthashana TVET College proudly celebrates the successful conclusion of the 2026 TVET Month Celebration.

From 17-21 August 2026, our gates were opened to members of the community, providing them with an opportunity to access valuable information about Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) and explore the diverse opportunities available at our College.

The celebration reached its exciting conclusion yesterday, 27 August 2026, when we hosted the final TVET Month Celebration at the Vryheid Engineering Campus. The event brought together learners and educators from six high schools, who formed part of our intended audience and were afforded an opportunity to explore the world of TVET education, including visits to our specialised workshops and learning facilities.

The event was proudly supported by College Management, staff members, and students from the Vryheid and KwaGqikazi Campuses, whose outstanding traditional dance performances added great cultural value and excitement to the celebration.

We were also honoured by the presence and participation of our valued industry and stakeholder partners, including Transnet, Thwalokuhle Engineering Group, Encome Dairy Farm, AbaQulusi Municipality, DBE, and our successful alumni representing Vryheid Ford Dealership and Nquthu Local Municipality.

A special word of appreciation goes to our esteemed media partners, ACR & Vryheid Herald, for their continued support and commitment to ensuring that our College initiatives and success stories receive meaningful media coverage.

🙏 We sincerely extend our heartfelt appreciation to the College Management for their approval, guidance and unwavering support, as well as to everyone who contributed to the success of the 2026 TVET Month Celebration. SATVETSA KZN PTT Extended Meeting

On 22-23 August 2026, we successfully hosted the Dual Meeting @ Central Office, bringing together SRC to deliberate on key issues affecting TVET students across KwaZulu-Natal.

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination among SRCs, addressing common student challenges, and exploring strategies to promote greater unity, collaboration, and effective student representation across the province.

The meeting also provided a valuable platform for participating colleges to share their concerns, exchange experiences, and identify collective solutions aimed at advancing and safeguarding the interests of TVET students throughout KwaZulu-Natal.

🏆 DAY 1 | INTER-DEPARTMENTAL GAMES 2026 🏆

Mthashana TVET College proudly participated in the Inter-Departmental Games for Employees, organised by the Employees Health and Wellness Programme, bringing together employees from Mthashana TVET College and Majuba TVET College, representing the Department of Higher Education and Training (DHET) KZN TVET Inland Team.

📍 Day 1 kicked off with an exciting Opening Ceremony at Kings Park Stadium, where the Inland Team received a warm welcome from the various sporting federations and organising committees.

Our dedicated employees showcased their talent, teamwork and sporting spirit across various sporting codes, including:

🏐 Volleyball
🎾 Tennis
