🏐🔥 **DAY 2: HIGHS, LOWS & HEART-STOPPING VOLLEYBALL!** 🔥🏐

💙🤍 STAR COLLEGE GIRLS HIGH & BOYS HIGH VOLLEYBALL TEAMS🤍💙

What an action-packed second day at the American International School of Johannesburg (AISJ) Volleyball Tournament!

The highs and lows continued as every set brought its own drama, with points swinging from one side to the other and matches building towards nail-biting victories and heartbreaking defeats. The tension was high, the excitement was electric, and every move required strategy, focus and determination! ⚡🏐

🌟 OUR TEAMS HAVE MADE US PROUD!🌟

Through tough competition and challenging opponents, our players fought until the very last point, demonstrating resilience, determination and an incredible fighting spirit.

👏 Our teams achieved qualification for the knockout stages, with Boys High progressing to the quarter-finals and the Girls High reaching the semi-finals!

Every match was a test of character, and our players rose to the challenge, pushing themselves and one another to give their very best!

🏐 Beyond the scores, there are valuable lessons.

Our players leave this tournament with a clearer understanding of their strengths, the areas they can improve, and the skills they can continue developing for future competitions. This is what sport is all about — learning, growing, building confidence and coming back stronger!

A heartfelt THANK YOU to our dedicated coaches, our Head of Sport, and our drivers, who worked tirelessly to support our teams and ensure their safety and well-being throughout the tournament. Your commitment behind the scenes is truly appreciated! 💙👏

🌟 Well done, Star College Volleyball Stars!🌟

You represented our school with pride, courage and determination. We are incredibly proud of every player who stepped onto that court and gave it their all!

The score may tell the story of a match, but your teamwork, character and determination tell the story of who you are!💙🤍

🎀 BREAST CANCER AWARENESS MONTH

We were fortunate to have a breast cancer survivor, Mrs Khatija Kalil from the Department of Education, come and speak to our Star College Girls High. It was inspiring to listen to how she survived and remained positive while fighting cancer with three small children.

She explained to the our ladies in detail how to be there for family and friends who are diagnosed with breast cancer, the difference between different cancers, and how to prepare yourself if you are diagnosed.

Breast cancer awareness ribbons are on sale for R10 and all monies raised will be donated to the cancer awareness fund. Let us support this, as for many, cancer is very much at home. 🩷🩷🩷

We want to thank Mrs Khatija Kalil for her positive and inspiring talk, and Mrs Z Gordon for organising this for our young ladies.

Both teams faced tough opposition and had to dig deep, demonstrating determination, resilience and excellent team spirit throughout their matches.
