📢 BEYOND THE UNIVERSITY: DEBATE FOR CHANGE!
The Kwame Nkrumah Debate Society, under the leadership of its President, is working with Carelink Foundation towards an outreach campaign at Twafwane Primary School aimed at educating learners in Grades 5, 6, and 7 on menstrual health, hygiene, and dignity.
Following our school visit and discussions, we aim to use debates, poetry, and awareness activities to challenge misconceptions, promote inclusivity, and encourage open conversations about menstrual health.
The initiative will feature the competition motion:
🎤 “This House Believes That We Should Prioritise Making Sanitary Pads Free Over Condoms.”
Through this motion, learners will explore public health priorities, educational equality, and the importance of access to reproductive health products. Boys will also be included to encourage understanding, challenge stigma, and promote a supportive school environment.
As a society, we believe debate must extend beyond university walls into primary and secondary schools, using critical thinking, advocacy, and dialogue to inspire positive community change.
We are not just training voices to speak; we are empowering young minds to think, question, and act.
In collaboration with Carelink Foundation.
