CLOSING CEREMONY OF THE SHORT COURSE IN MEDICAL EQUIPMENT MAINTENANCE AND MANAGEMENT BY THE BIOMEDICAL ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF EVELYN HONE COLLEGE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH AMALTHEA ENGINEERS FROM THE UNITED KINGDOM 🇬🇧

Evelyn Hone College Vice Principal, Dr Foster Musanje, has urged biomedical engineering practitioners to focus on practical skills to ensure effective maintenance and repair of medical equipment in hospitals.

Speaking during the closing ceremony of the Biomedical Engineering Equipment Maintenance and Management Training, Dr Musanje commended Amalthea and its engineers from the United Kingdom for supporting the development of biomedical engineering training in Zambia.

He said the programme was introduced to address the shortage of skilled personnel capable of maintaining and repairing medical equipment in health facilities.

Dr Musanje also urged practitioners to uphold professional standards, work together and organise regular training workshops to strengthen the profession across the country.

He added that biomedical engineers must demonstrate their competence through practical solutions that ensure medical equipment remains functional in hospitals.
