On this joyful Easter Sunday, we gathered to celebrate the Resurrection of the Lord in a solemn Mass led by Father Dumbura together with Father Mandava.

In his homily, Father Dumbura reminded us that we need God every day of our lives and therefore we must never take the Holy Mass for granted. Each celebration of the Eucharist is a living encounter with the risen Christ, a source of grace, strength and renewal for our journey of faith.

He further encouraged us to live as Easter people, filled with hope, joy and unwavering trust in God’s love. Just as Christ conquered death and rose to new life, we too are called to rise above our struggles, sin, and doubts, embracing a life rooted in prayer and faith.

May the joy of the Resurrection continue to inspire us to seek God daily, to cherish every Mass we attend, and to be witnesses of His love in the world. On this most sacred night of the Easter Vigil, we gathered in joyful celebration of Christ’s victory over death, led by Father Mukwewa together with Fathers Makova, Mlambo, Moyo, Maseko, Gotami, Dhaka, Makaka, Bingare and Mandava.

In his homily, Father Mukwewa called us to be a people deeply rooted in prayer, reminding us that it is through prayer that we encounter the Risen Lord and draw strength for our daily lives. He encouraged us to remain steadfast in faith, especially in moments of darkness, trusting that God’s light always triumphs.

The Vigil reminded us of God’s unfailing love for His people, a love that has been present from creation, fulfilled in Christ’s sacrifice, and made alive in His Resurrection. As the new fire was lit and the Alleluia proclaimed once more, we were renewed in hope and called to live as witnesses of the risen Christ, carrying His light into the world.

On this solemn day of Good Friday, we gathered in prayer for the Service of the Lord’s Passion, led by Father Mandava together with Fathers Makaka, Moyo, Gotami, Mubvigwi, and Mukwewa.

In a deeply moving homily, Father Mandava reflected on the words of Christ on the Cross, “I thirst,” challenging each one of us to ask what we truly thirst for. He invited us to examine our hearts and to recognize that our deepest longing should not be for the passing things of this world, but for one thing alone, to do the will of God.

Through the Liturgy of the Word, the veneration of the Cross and the reception of Holy Communion, we entered more profoundly into the mystery of Christ’s suffering and love for humanity. As we venerated the Cross, we were reminded that true fulfillment is found in surrender, love, and faithful obedience to God’s divine plan. ✝️

Ss John Fisher and Thomas More National Seminary, Chishawasha walked the Way of the Cross, journeying with Christ through suffering, love and sacrifice. Each station reminding us that the cross is not the end, but the path to hope, mercy and new life. ✝️

Step by step, we learned that true love gives everything and endures all things. In every fall and every rise, Christ teaches us perseverance, humility and trust in God. The cross may be heavy, but it leads to glory, reminding us that beyond Good Friday lies the joy of the Resurrection on Easter Sunday.

Holy Thursday Mass at Ss John Fisher and Thomas More National Seminary, Chishawasha, was prayerfully and joyfully celebrated by Fr. Mubvigwi, together with Frs. Mandava, Makova, Gotami, Mukwewa, and Makaka as concelebrants. In his homily, Fr. Mubvigwi powerfully reflected on the deep significance of the Eucharist and the priesthood, gifts instituted out of Christ’s love to nourish, guide and sanctify His Church.

He called on ordained priests to renew their commitment with gratitude, encouraged seminarians to embrace their vocation with zeal and humility, and reminded the faithful of their vital role in supporting and praying for priests. As we commemorated the Lord’s Supper, we were invited to deepen our appreciation of these sacred mysteries, which remain the very heart of the Church’s life and mission. ✨
