Great Zimbabwe University (GZU) recently played host to 51 students and four lecturers from the University of Johannesburg (UJ) as part of the UJ's Africa by Bus program.

This initiative promotes Pan-African learning through road trips, lectures, and cultural experiences across Southern Africa. During their visit, the group attended a thought-provoking lecture on Pan-Africanism at GZU, exploring its impact on education, politics, and culture. The visit also included campus tours and interactive sessions, fostering academic collaboration and idea-sharing between the two institutions.

We were honored to meet His Excellency over the weekend and appreciate the Second Republic's efforts in developing innovation hubs in Zimbabwe's tertiary institutions. This initiative recognizes education as a catalyst for development, aligning with the country's vision of becoming an upper-middle-income economy by 2030.

The delegation from NACOSU and BUSU commended the significant progress made in fostering innovation and industrialization in our tertiary institutions.
