The Green Revolutionary Students of Africa (GRESA) strongly condemns the violation of human rights by some overzealous State agents who have since taken the law into their own hands. The arrest of Panashe Sivindai and Methembe Msipha, both students at NUST, for simply exercising their constitutional right by the police is a strong indication that the regime has no respect whatsoever for human rights.

We have learnt Panashe was simply wearing a placard and doing her shopping in a local supermarket. Methembe had no placard but the Zimbabwean flag only. None of the students breached any lockdown rules. The regime has shown that it doesn't want people to speakout. We are also following closely the pending police report made by Panashe wherein on the fatefull day she was abducted by states agents and taken to a building along JMN Nkomo between 12 and 11 Bulawayo.

GRESA appreciates the effort by our trooper Bruce Israel Masamvu delpoyed by Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights (ZLHR) who represented both students. We condem human rights violations exhibited by the state agents.

Zim Govt leaders are clearly NO LONGER revolutionaries. Today they reversed the gains of the 20th Century liberation struggle by signing a deal of setting aside US$3.5 Billion to compensate former colonial white farmers who lost land and their property during the Land Reform Program. This deal is a mockery to what was agreed at the Lancaster House Conference in 1979. USA & Britain pledged to provide funds for the compensation but ED has authorized Mthuli Ncube to milk money from Zim citizens through tax to compensate the colonial white farmers. How can victims of colonization compensate the colonizers? The US$3.5 Billion has to be used to empower unemployed indigenous graduates in agricultural and mining projects.

GRESA learned with sadness the demise of two Chinhoyi University of Technology (CUT) students, Innocent Makoni and Gerald Chonzi, who perished in a road accident from the University.
We stretch our sincere condolences to the CUT family, the rest of the Student fraternity in Zimbabwe and comfort the families who are in these trying times.
We humbly ask Minister Prof. Murwira to extend a helping hand in the funerals.

Why do we study JOURNALISM when practicing JOURNALISM is a crime in Zim?

19/07/2020

Only a CORRUPT govt will now accept GUPTAs as investors considering that they fled from South Africa after Julius Malema exposed how the GUPTAs were involved in CORRUPTION & State Capture. Why then would the Zimbabwean govt accept Billy Rautenbach as an investor considering that Billy was chased away from DRC in 2007 after he was found guilty of CORRUPTION & SMUGGLING minerals from the rich Congolese province of Katanga?

We challenge all students to endorse & participate in Anti-Corruption protests. As students, our future after graduation remains doomed as long as Zim national resources are personalized by a few LOOTERS who are politically connected & as long as criminal CARTELS suffocate upcoming entrepreneurs. Let's fight for our post-graduation future now!

*THE GREEN REVOLUTION STATEMENT*

*FOR URGENT RELEASE*

06 July 2020.

*THE WAY FORWARD*

Following our Press Conference on the 26th of June 2020 in Harare under the theme *"Zimbabwe At Crossroads - The Way Forward"* where we urged and challenged fellow citizens to start dialogue and conversations from the 27th of June to the 6th of July 2020 around what has to be done in order to stop the on-going bleeding, corruption and looting in Zimbabwe, we are happy to give feedback that citizens have been engaging in different ways and different platforms and there is consensus that we have to ACT as citizens to extract ourselves from the current crisis which is affecting everyone across the divide.

After engagements, conversations and consultations with fellow citizens and progressive organisations we have agreed that we have to ACT and the day is *31st July 2020*

This therefore sets aside the initial proposal for ACTION from the *7th to the 10th of July 2020*.

The *Front for Economic Emancipation in Zimbabwe (FEEZ)* also known as the *GREEN REVOLUTION* being a non-partisan economic movement of the united citizens thats fights against corruption, looting and demands transparency and accountability is therefore redirecting all progressive citizens and stakeholders towards the *31st of July* as announced by fellow citizen, esteemed brother and leader Mr Jacob Ngarivhume.

We are the people let's get it done.

A united people knows no defeat. We are stronger together. Victors do not bicker.

As students, we have sadly noted that the two major student unions (ZICOSU and ZINASU) have been captured by the two major political parties and these unions are now representing the interests of political parties more than the interests of students. So we are organizing ourselves as students under the banner of the Green Revolutionary Students of Africa (GRESA) to fight for our own interests as students in a non-partisan and inclusive manner. All students at all educational levels in all educational institutions studying locally and abroad are welcome to freely join despite of their political affiliation, gender, age, religion or ethnicity.

As students, we have sadly noted that no political party is really defending our interests. The two major student unions (ZICOSU and ZINASU) have been captured by the two major political parties to such an extent that the unions are now representing the interests of political parties more than the interests of students. It is against this background that we are organizing ourselves as students under the banner of the Green Revolutionary Students of Africa (GRESA) to fight for our own interests as students in a non-partisan and inclusive manner. All students at all educational levels in all educational institutions at locally and abroad are welcome to freely join despite of their political affiliation, gender, age, religion or ethnicity. Let's unite as Pan-African students and be our own 'saviours'.
