Getting Ready for the NBCC Finals?

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the NBCC Finals have been rescheduled from June 17 to June 24. As we count down to this exciting event, let’s give you a sneak peek into the incredible ideas our brilliant learners will pitch!

First up, representing Harare Province, we have Westridge High School's GeoPlast - an innovative solution tackling plastic pollution in urban centres like Harare. GeoPlast pioneers biodegradable bottles made from organic materials, addressing critical business principles and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):

Collaboration is at the heart of impact, Emergination Africa and , embarked on an incredible journey to engage with learners, educators, and parents across Bulawayo, Matabeleland South, and Matabeleland North. Together, we are shaping the next generation of African business leaders!

We met over 770 bright young minds from schools including Eveline, Montrose, Northlea, Manama, Mzingwane, Fatima, Mosi-oa-Tunya, Marist Brothers Dete, Milton Boys, and Sikhulile. Beyond entrepreneurship, we emphasized the importance of knowing the opportunities available to them, viewing entrepreneurship as a career choice, and learning about it from an early age. By developing an entrepreneurial mindset, they are equipped to become problem solvers and innovators who will drive Africa forward!

We engaged with teachers who are molding future entrepreneurs. Through the educator workshop we explored how case studies and experiential learning can make entrepreneurship education more impactful.

Understanding the role of parents in fostering an entrepreneurial mindset was crucial. Their perspectives will help create stronger support systems for young entrepreneurs.

💡 When organizations collaborate, real change happens. Our journey with Anzisha is proof that partnerships drive transformation. By working together, we can unlock the potential of Africa’s youth and build a thriving ecosystem of future business leaders!

🎉 Congratulations to PURED AGRO Processors (VIA Cohort of 2021) for making it to the top 12 of the Value Creation Challenge by Eight2Five Innovation Hub!

🌟 Out of over 600 startups across Zimbabwe, Pured proved their mettle, first being shortlisted in the top 40, then excelling through a 3-day boot camp in Harare to make the top 27. The boot camp included an induction at the UK ambassador's residence in Greendale, and mentorship sessions on critical business topics, culminating in a final pitch day.

Pured's success in this highly competitive environment, pitching against other innovative business owners, highlights the immense potential of their venture. We are thrilled to see them advance and can't wait to follow their journey in the upcoming boot camp from July 29th to August 1st, and their final pitch in September.
