This week, on our , we feature Gordon Pangeti. He is the Director of Sports at The Heritage School, overseeing the infants, junior, and senior departments 🏫.

Gordon attended the Sport Psychology for Coaches course at Gateway Christian Teachers’ College with his coaches. He said he learned how to bridge the gap between players and coaches, and how to meet the expectations of higher levels of competition. He shared that the tactical and technical conversations challenged his thinking and helped him grow🏑⚽.

He is leading with excellence, growing as a coach, and raising the standard of sport in our communities.

This week, on our , we have Carol Muchatuta.

She is a Gymnastics Coach, Dance Instructor, Ballet Teacher, and Owner of Carol Henchie School of Dancing.

Carol attended the *Sport Psychology for Coaches* course at Gateway Christian Teachers’ College, where she said she learned how to build a team and motivate her students💃.

She’s living out GCTC's values of leading with excellence, serving with compassion, and making a lasting impact in communities.

They thought they were showing up for a workshop only. But there was more that was planned - their own surprise celebration 🎊🎉.

Gateway Christian Teachers' College and the U.S. Embassy Harare invited our AI Champions to an exclusive session, "From AI Champion to AI Diffusion Leader". We used it to honour five people who took their training and multiplied it.

The workshop was facilitated by Oscar Garcia, a 16-time U.S. Department of State speaker who's trained over 20,000 professionals across five continents 🌎. The day was built to help educators craft their AI impact stories, develop leadership frameworks for school-wide tech adoption, and start building a regional network of changemakers 📲💻.

GCTC took the time to recognise 5 exceptional individuals for turning their own learning into impact.

The 5 champions recognised were:
1. Tatenda Musikavanhu for training 108 people.
2. Edson Nyamunetsa for training 56 people.
3. Appolonia Bikwa for training 40 people.
4. Tariro Allard for training 35 people.
5. Maria Philips for training 29 people. She was the first to train others just 3 days after being trained herself.

Oscar handed each of the 5 his autographed book "12 Life & Career Skills that go beyond the classroom."

This was a small thank-you for a ripple effect that's reached hundreds. From champions to diffusion leaders, this is what happens when knowledge is shared, not shelved.

Congratulations to all attendees 👏🏽👏🏽. The journey from learner to leader starts right here. 🎉📚.

Important Update: Our Sport Psychology for Coaches workshop is being rescheduled.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we’ve made the decision to postpone *not cancel* our 3-day training with Dr Michael Passaportis.

*New dates: October 15-17, 2026* in Harare.
Everything will remain the same. It's only the date which has changed.

At Gateway Christian Teachers’ College, we remain fully committed to equipping and training coaches and leaders for excellence on and off the the field.
