Term 2 ended today with a special assembly for our learners and teachers .
During this assembly outstanding students were given a handshake each as a way of recognising their performance.
A motivating speech was also given by the Principal,highlighting the importance of discipline and hard work.

It was really an exciting moment for learners and staff .

Today, we successfully held the Nhanga Gota Programme at Kenzim College an initiative by the 1st Lady, working together with the Ministry of Sports Arts and culture, where the young boys and girls were empowered with important life lessons, positive values, and cultural norms. The programme emphasized the importance of staying away from drug and substance abuse while preparing our youths to become responsible adults and future husbands and wives.

A sincere thank you to our Ministry of Arts Sports and Culture Represantatives, Principal Mr Zireba, Events committee led by Mrs Azonda, our Heritage teachers Ms Machingura and Mr Chivizhe, our Community representatives ,parents and everyone who made this programme a success. Together, we can shape a generation of responsible, disciplined, and value-driven young people.

International Martial Arts Experts Visit KenZim Wrestling Club to Promote Combat Sports

Harare, Zimbabwe – KenZim Wrestling Club recently hosted a high-profile familiarisation visit by distinguished martial arts and combat sports experts from Southern Africa, marking another milestone in the growth of mixed martial arts and wrestling in Zimbabwe.

The delegation was led by Master Kaisho Hosain Narker, the International Coordinator of Ashihara Karate and a legendary wrestling instructor from the Republic of South Africa. He was accompanied by Sensei Abdul Khaaliq from Eswatini, Sensei Mururi from Zimbabwe, Master Munyaradzi Chitsa, a 1st Dan Black Belt from Zimbabwe, Master Tapiwa Ray Masinire, a 2nd Dan Black Belt and founder of KenZim Wrestling Club, and Mr Nyandimu, representing the Stoneridge Combat Sport Academy community.

The visit was aimed at familiarising participants with mixed martial arts and various combat sports while strengthening regional cooperation among martial arts practitioners. It also provided an opportunity for the visiting experts to assess the progress made by KenZim Wrestling Club, which has been spearheaded by Master Tapiwa Ray Masinire since its establishment in 2015.

Speaking during the event, the visiting instructors praised the commitment shown by Zimbabwean athletes and coaches in promoting discipline, fitness, and youth empowerment through combat sports. They encouraged greater collaboration across Southern Africa to develop athletes capable of competing at continental and international levels.

Master Tapiwa Ray Masinire expressed his appreciation to the visiting delegation for sharing their wealth of knowledge and experience. He reaffirmed KenZim Wrestling Club's commitment to nurturing talent and expanding opportunities for young people through wrestling, mixed martial arts, and other combat sports.

The event concluded with demonstrations, technical exchanges, and discussions on future partnerships that will help strengthen combat sports development in Zimbabwe and the Southern African region.
