The Official page for the Notre Dame Sydney Law Society. www.ndsls.org The NDSLS is a student run society that was established in 2007.

The society has the aim of enriching the student experience through educational, social and vocational initiatives. The Committee prides itself on delivering wonderful events for the law cohort. The NDSLS is also committed to forming strong links with firms – it is in the best interests of all involved. We aim to link the talent of the future with the employers in the legal profession, professional services such as finance, accounting and consultation as well educational, public and private organisations. The NDSLS is the most active society on the University of Notre Dame, Sydney Campus. This is due to the dedication of all who are part of the NDSLS. We engage the student body to actively seek a path suitable to their goals and ensure their decisions are right for them.

NDSLS IS HEADING TO THE UNITED NATIONS! 🗽✨

We are excited to announce that the NDSLS has been invited to send a student delegation to the WFUNA Global Model United Nations Conference in New York in February 2027.

🗓️ When: 10 - 17 February 2027
📝EOI Closes: 10am, 29 October 2026

Places are strictly limited!

Please note: participants will be required to contribute approximately $3,500 towards the cost of attending, including travel, accomodation and personal expenses. Delegates must also be 21 years of age or older at the time of the conference.

What a wonderful way to wrap up another year of mooting at Notre Dame Sydney!

We are also incredibly grateful to Keith Thompson, The Hon. Robertson Wright, Angus Macinnis and Phillip Stevens for taking the time out of their busy schedules to share their knowledge, experience and encouragement with our finalists.

Congratulations to Owen and Harrison, our 2026 Grand Final Moot Champions! A fantastic achievement and a well deserved win!

We also want to recognise every student who competed throughout the earlier rounds - every one of you should be proud of what you’ve achieved!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this competition possible. It’s opportunities and moments like these that make our Notre Dame law community so special.

Our 2026 AGM was held on 8 October, marking the final meeting of this year’s NDSLS Committee.

A meaningful way to close out the year, reflect on what we have achieved together, and look ahead to the next chapter of the Society. Thank you to everyone who contributed their time, energy and commitment throughout 2026.

Here’s to continuing to build on the foundations laid this year and carrying that momentum forward.
