A Tribute to the Bard of Avon

With immense pride and heartfelt enthusiasm, the Department of English at Hamdard University Bangladesh joyfully commemorated the "462nd Birth Anniversary of William Shakespeare", a celebration steeped in literary brilliance, youthful passion, and artistic excellence.

The event unfolded as a vibrant tapestry of intellect and expression, where our brilliant students paid homage to the timeless legacy of the greatest playwright in the history of English literature. From soul-stirring recitations to intellectually stimulating quiz battles, the spirit of Shakespeare echoed through every performance and every word spoken.

Recitation Competition Winners:

2nd Prize: Asadur Rahman Jisan (2nd Semester)
3rd Prize:Jannatul Ferdous (1st Semester)

Quiz Competition Winners:

উৎসবমুখর পরিবেশে হামদর্দ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ে ‘বৈশাখী মেলা ও বার্ষিক বনভোজন ২০২৬’ উদযাপিত হচ্ছে

আজ ৮ই বৈশাখ ১৪৩৩ বঙ্গাব্দ (২২শে এপ্রিল ২০২৬), বুধবার হামদর্দ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বাংলাদেশ-এর ক্যাম্পাস প্রাঙ্গণে অত্যন্ত জাঁকজমকপূর্ণভাবে অনুষ্ঠিত হচ্ছে ‘বৈশাখী মেলা ও বার্ষিক বনভোজন ২০২৬’।

সকালে বিশ্ববিদ্যালয়ের মাননীয় উপাচার্য অধ্যাপক মনজারুল আলম আনুষ্ঠানিক উদ্বোধন করেন। উদ্বোধন শেষে তিনি মেলায় অংশগ্রহণকারী বিভিন্ন স্টলসমূহ ঘুরে দেখেন এবং শিক্ষার্থীদের সৃজনশীল কর্মকাণ্ডের ভূয়সী প্রশংসা করেন।

ভোর থেকেই শিক্ষক-শিক্ষার্থীদের আনন্দঘন পদচারণায় মুখরিত হয়ে ওঠে পুরো বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় ক্যাম্পাস। বৈশাখী সাজ আর উৎসবের আমেজে এক অনন্য রূপ পরিগ্রহ করেছে হামদর্দ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বাংলাদেশ প্রাঙ্গণ। দিনব্যাপী এই উৎসবের কিছু মনোজ্ঞ মুহূর্ত ও খণ্ডচিত্র ছবির মাধ্যমে তুলে ধরা হলো।

বাংলা নববর্ষ ১৪৩৩ উদযাপন উপলক্ষে হামদর্দ বিশ্ববিদ্যালয় বাংলাদেশে ক্যাম্পাসে বাঙালি ঐতিহ্যের এক বিশাল ও বর্ণিল আয়োজন অনুষ্ঠিত হতে যাচ্ছে।
আগামী ২২ এপ্রিল ২০২৬ (বুধবার) দিনব্যাপী এ আয়োজনে সকাল থেকে থাকবে:

- বৈশাখী মেলা স্টল
- দুপুরে আয়োজন করা হয়েছে মধ্যভোজের
