Insightful week for DFC students ✨

Last week, students from the USI Master in Digital Fashion Communication explored three different yet deeply connected realities of the fashion and design industry: discovering how innovation, craftsmanship, and communication shape today’s fashion landscape.

🛋️ At BertO Showroom, students explored the relationship between design, textiles, and perception, reflecting on how fabrics influence both physical and digital experiences.

🧵 At , they discovered the heritage and precision behind Italian textile manufacturing, while hearing from USI alumna about the evolution of a sixth-generation family business.

👜 The week concluded at the showroom in Milan, where students gained insights into brand strategy, communication, and customer experience across multiple touchpoints.

Experiencing such different realities allowed students to better understand the many perspectives, processes, and roles that shape today’s fashion industry.

❄️ Proud to share MONCLER FIT EXPERIENCE, a project developed by Beatrice Albonico, a first-year student, within the Digital Fashion Communication course as part of the Call-for-Needs by Moncler.

✨ The idea rethinks the traditional showroom by creating a hybrid physical digital space where garments worn on a real model are instantly shown on hyper realistic avatars displayed on a screen, allowing buyers to explore different body types ethnicities and genders in real time and build looks through interactive tools
The goal is to make the selection process more inclusive efficient and data driven by improving decision making and reducing waste.

The project was selected as a finalist, and while a winning idea was chosen, it brings together the strongest insights from all finalists and will continue to be developed as a team, with each contributor focusing on a specific area.

A great experience and an exciting step forward into the future of retail!
