Disconnect to Reconnect: Three Days to Rethink Leadership

As part of the Bachelor in International Business and Relations, students took part in “Disconnect to Reconnect”, a three-day immersive seminar designed to step away from technology and reconnect with themselves, others, and their environment.

Through outdoor experiential learning, participants explored leadership from a different perspective—one that combines self-awareness, collective intelligence, and critical reflection on the role of technology in our lives.

Over the course of the seminar, students developed their ability to focus, make decisions, collaborate, and take initiative in a fully unplugged environment. They also examined how digital technologies influence relationships, learning processes, and leadership practices in an increasingly connected world.

The experience culminated in the creation of educational capsules aimed at a wider audience, enabling students to transform personal insights into meaningful knowledge-sharing.

By fostering personal development, intercultural understanding, and critical thinking, Disconnect to Reconnect reflects Rennes School of Business’ commitment to developing globally minded leaders capable of navigating complexity with awareness, purpose, and authenticity.

🌍 Entrepreneurship is also about broadening your horizons.

This year, eight student entrepreneurs and alumni from Rennes School of Business took part in a Learning Expedition to Quebec, organised by Innostart, to discover one of the most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems in the French-speaking world.

🇨🇦 From Quebec City to Montreal, this week-long immersion programme enabled them to:
🤝 meet entrepreneurs, investors, institutions and decision-makers: at the Québec incubator and accelerator, LE CAMP, and at the French Consulate
💡 discover Québec’s support and innovation schemes
🚀 take part in the Francophonie Business Meetings
🎮 chat with our alumna Clémence Nogrix at Ubisoft Québec
🌐 develop their international professional connections through our alumni network in Canada

An experience fully in line with Innostart’s commitment to fostering innovation, international openness and entrepreneurial spirit.

👏 Thank you to all the partners, stakeholders and alumni who came together to contribute to this enriching experience.

🚀 Entrepreneur of the Month | Hugo Georges – Founder of USAS Agency

This month, we are proud to highlight Hugo Georges, student entrepreneur and founder of USAS Agency, an agency helping football players pursue both their academic and athletic ambitions in the United States.

💡 The idea?
Having experienced life as a student-athlete at an American university, Hugo discovered a system that allows young athletes to combine higher education with competitive sport.

Through USAS Agency, he supports football players throughout their journey by:
– assessing their sporting and academic profile
– identifying universities that fit their goals
– guiding them through the recruitment and admission process

🎯 The vision
To help more athletes access opportunities in the U.S. and, in the long term, expand the agency across Europe. Hugo’s ambition is to build a network capable of identifying talent and creating pathways for student-athletes to study and compete internationally.

✨ The entrepreneurial trigger
The idea emerged after Hugo’s own experience in the United States. He realized how transformative the system could be for athletes, but also how difficult it was to navigate without guidance.

🏗️ Support from the RSB Incubator
The InnoStart incubator helped Hugo structure his project, refine his business model, and think strategically about the agency’s growth. It also provided a stimulating environment surrounded by fellow student entrepreneurs.

⏳ The biggest challenge?
Balancing studies and entrepreneurship. Between classes, projects, and running the agency, staying organized is essential. Yet for Hugo, this challenge is also one of the most rewarding aspects of building a business as a student.

💬 His advice to future entrepreneurs:
"Don’t wait for a perfect project to start. Entrepreneurship is about learning, testing ideas, and improving along the way."

At Rennes SB, we are proud to support students who create opportunities and help others achieve their ambitions.

👏 Léo Pour Le Monde

A sincere thank you as well to everyone who contributed to making this experience so meaningful for our students.

Congratulations to all our students for their professionalism, commitment, and hard work throughout the project! 👏
