child the best chance of achieving their goals. We offer a broad curriculum including academic subjects such as Mathematics, English, Irish, Spanish, History, etc. but we also offer less widely available subjects such as Engineering, Woodwork, Metalwork, Coding/Digital Literacy, Technical Graphics and Home-Economics.

Our Sponsored Walk fundraiser took place yesterday with students and staff taking part in a 5km walk.

A big thank you to all the students who returned their sponsorship cards and fundraising money โ€“ your effort and support is really appreciated๐Ÿ’™

Congratulations to 2nd Year student Olivia Brady, who won the Sponsorship Card Prize Voucher for her fantastic fundraising efforts and was presented with her prize by Ms Shanley ๐Ÿ‘

The funds raised will go towards supporting sporting activities within the school.โšฝ๐Ÿ€

โ›ช๏ธโœ๏ธ3rd yr Art trip to St Mel's Cathedral
Our 3rd Year Art students took a trip to the cathedral this week using it as a great local resource for sketching.

It was a really valuable chance for students to work from real surroundings, pick up on details, and feel more connected to the community around them ๐Ÿค.

A lovely day of learning outside the classroom. Thank you to Art teachers Ms Metlova and Ms Mc Hugh for accompanying the students๐ŸŒฟ.

Our international students have come to the end of their year with us. Since September, theyโ€™ve been a big part of school life with each student bringing something different and special to our community. Itโ€™s been great getting to know them all.

A big thank you and farewell to our students from Denmark, Italy, Spain, France, Germany, Belgium. Weโ€™d also like to thank their host families, InterStudies Ireland and SLS Ireland for their support and their 5th Year Head Ms McGarrity for looking after the students throughout the year.

We wish them all the very best as they continue their studies back home. We hope they leave with great memories and improved English from their time with us.

Our Wellbeing Team continues to celebrate the positive contributions made by students through the Rising Star of Templemichael Award. Each term, students and teachers nominate one student from each year group who have demonstrated the qualities worthy of this award. The standard of nominations this term was exceptionally high, reflecting the many positive role models within our school community.
This term we are delighted to recognise students who have made a meaningful impact on school life through their attitude, kindness, effort, and commitment.

We were also delighted to present our Trophy Awards as part of our recent End of Year Award celebrations:

๐Ÿ† ๐Ÿ† JCSP Students of the Year 2026 (Joint Winners): รine Gray & Mathew Rowe who were presented with their trophies by guest presenter Christiana Ogungbe (LC2024), alongside Mr Hanley (Programmes Coordinator), Ms Doorley (Year Head), and Mr Wallace (Deputy Principal).

We were also delighted to recognise a number of group achievements at our End of Year Awards. From Classroom Participation to our 2nd Year boysโ€™ basketball teamโ€™s success in the Midlands D Plate competition these awards highlight school spirit, commitment and teamwork.
We also celebrated our studentsโ€™ involvement in Green Schools, the Longford Library Calendar Art winners, and participation in LWETB All-Stars Event ๐ŸŽจ๐ŸŒ
