There’s three fantastic shows for you to enjoy at The Blor this week with acclaimed live original music night The Ghostlight Sessions, country music in Nashville Live and hilarious comedy from Tadhg J Devery’s new show Pints, Dentures & Rock N’ Roll
First launched in 2017, The Ghostlight Sessions is one of the country’s longest-running regular live original music nights. Held monthly, each night features 30-minute sets from three original emerging artists guaranteed to have you adding them to your Spotify favourites.
September’s Ghostlight Sessions is headlined by four-piece Donegal indie rock band Lazember fronted by songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Paul Rodgers. Writing the kind of songs built for festival crowds, Lazember combine driving guitars, soaring melodies and an energetic live show, drawing inspiration from Kings of Leon, The War on Drugs, Sam Fender and Bombay Bicycle Club.
Also appearing is Irish hip hop artist and singer-songwriter DK who skilfully combines rapping and singing over hard-hitting beats and Donegal Nu Metal band Stitch round out the bill, blending heavy, groovy riffs with rap and hip hop. Formed in 2024, this 6-piece has headlined shows in Dublin, Galway , Belfast , Cork and Derry.
After the roaring success of his first stage show A Day in the Country, Tadhg J Devery is back with a brand-new, bigger, wilder, and completely unhinged comedy show — Pints, Dentures & Rock ’n’ Roll. This time the characters aren’t just having the craic … they’re fully out of control.
Expect a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud night of rural Irish chaos as Tadhg brings an entire parish of walking disasters to life. From fed-up farmers and drunken plumbers to failed musicians and an undertaker obsessed with recycling the dead, nothing in this village is normal — but who likes normal!?
Nashville Live showcases highly acclaimed tributes to Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, Tammy Wynette and Kenny Rogers and new tributes to icons Laney Wilson, Shania Twain, The Chicks, Josh Turner and the new kid on the block Luke Combs with countless other well-known singalong anthems in a must-see musical extravaganza of 40 timeless hit songs taking you through the decades right up to the present day.
The Ghostlight Sessions with Lavember, DK and Stitch is on Thursday September 17th at 8pm, tickets €15. You can see Tadhg J Devery’s Pints, Dentures & Rock N’ Roll on Friday September 18th and Nashville Live (€30 a ticket) is on Saturday September 19th.
