⚽ Best of Luck to Our Ulster Representatives!

A fantastic achievement for St. Columba’s College, with five of our students selected for the Ulster squad competing in the 2026 FAI Schools Under-15 Girls’ Interprovincial Tournament!

The tournament is taking place in Athlone from October 26th–28th, bringing together 68 of the country's top schoolgirl footballers, all representing their provinces and hoping to earn a place at next month's international assessments.

👏 Congratulations to our five players on their selection, and we wish them and the entire Ulster squad the very best of luck over the three days!

🎁 Christmas Shoebox Appeal 2026 🎄

The Team Hope Christmas Shoebox Appeal is underway once again at St. Columba’s College!

Each shoebox brings joy to a child affected by poverty, while encouraging kindness, compassion and generosity among our students.

Last year, over 170,000 shoeboxes were sent from Ireland to children in need, with boxes collected in Letterkenny making their way to Lesotho.

The Halloween break is the perfect opportunity to start putting your shoebox together!

📅 Closing Date: Tuesday, 10th November
📍 Drop-off: St. Columba’s College, Stranorlar
🕘 Time: 9.00am – 4.00pm

Thank you to everyone who continues to support this wonderful initiative.

🎁 Changing the world, one shoebox at a time.

🏀 Staff vs. Students Basketball!

A fantastic turnout for our Staff vs. Students basketball match in aid of Mary's Meals!

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, especially TY2 for organising the event and Leaving Cert student Caoimhe Cranwell for refereeing.

Well done to the staff, who narrowly claimed victory by just one basket! 🏆👏

Class Cara Spider Cookies🕷️🍪

This week Class Cara learned how to have freshly baked cookies any time you want. On Tuesday they made their cookie dough which they then put in the freezer. Today they took them out of the freezer and baked them. They also demonstrated creativity skills by decorating them as spiders today!

Our TYs received the warmest welcome this morning when they dropped in to the Friday Club to introduce their project, Cairdeas agus Cineáltas.

As part of their Young Social Innovators initiative, the students will meet weekly with the group to engage in activities like quizzes, boardgames, art and music. Whilst there our gang enjoyed their very first game of kurling and loved it and are looking forward to returning after the midterm break.
