We made a quick stop this morning to visit the statue of Admiral William Brown, the Irishman from County Mayo who became the founding father of the Argentine Navy – a remarkable reminder of the long-standing friendship between Ireland and Argentina.

With Argentina taking on England in tonight’s World Cup semi-final, we’d like to wish all of our students and alumni from Argentina a great day... 😄⚽

💭 Even disputes involving Ireland's most expensive apartment can end up in mediation.

A recent High Court case involving a €6 million Dublin penthouse has been referred to mediation rather than proceeding directly through litigation. It was a privilege to welcome Ambassador George Morara O***a of the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Ireland, together with Political Officer Joan Mirella, to Independent College following our recent meeting at the Ireland Kenya Cultural Day.

Dr. Paula Kenny, President of Independent College, Owen Keating, Commercial Director and Jennifer Hellis, Director of Admissions, were delighted to hold positive and productive discussions on strengthening the educational partnership between Ireland and Kenya.

Our conversations focused on expanding higher education pathways, student mobility, and transnational education, creating more opportunities for Kenyan students to access globally recognised qualifications in Ireland.

We are excited to visit Nairobi on 24–25 July, where we will continue this important engagement and share Independent College's commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable, internationally accredited education with excellent graduate outcomes.
