Maynooth Africa Society The Society aims to share and celebrate African culture amongst the students of Maynooth University.

The aims of the Society shall be to share and celebrate African and Caribbean culture amongst the students of NUI Maynooth. At ACS, we encourage people of all cultural backgrounds to express their interest African & Caribbean culture through the exhibition of art, music, dance, debates, politics and entertainment providing everyone with the opportunity to fully immerse them in such a rich and vibr

ant culture. The ACS will not only provide a social aspect within the society but a strong supportive network. We not only aim to encourage equality and diversity within the society but within the university by organizing events hosted by us to showcase our culture. The ACS seeks to celebrate all that is African and Caribbean and endorse a positive and empowering image of ethnicity – it’s all about coming together and being proud of our roots and sharing it with others.

April you’ve been dumped 🗑️
Hey family, it’s a new month so that means our newsletter is out for the month of April, our final one of the year.

What a way to wrap up the year!!🥳

Our Afrosoc Olympics event was a huge success , thank you so much to everyone who came out and for all your support🤍
& a special shoutout to Maynooth University for winning everything🏆

We also held our AGM & Games Night as we begin the transition into next year’s committee… exciting things ahead so stay tuned 👀

A big thank you to all the amazing brands who supported us and partnered with us to make this event possible, and to for being part of it all 🤝

Best of luck to everyone with upcoming exams 📚 you’ve got this! We’ll see you all again in a few months ❤️

Did someone say University Olympics ??🔥🏅

You heard it here first ! We’re collaborating with UCD to host the very first Olympics event, taking place on the 21st of April on the UCD campus at their athletic grounds🩵

Universities will go head to head to challenge eachother and see who the fittest University is. Universities participating are NCI, TUD, DKIT, SETU CARLOW and possibly more!!⚽️

Anyone who wants to participate should contact us or their respective Afrosoc committee😸

Catch your favourite brands and business owners at the event, alongside music and vibes from our Dj and food ‘n’ drink stands

Ticket will be announced soon so keep your eyes peeled 👀 Many prizes to be won 🥇
