5 month paid traineeship with the European 🇪🇺 Union. Open to all our QQI L5 & L6 graduates. During the traineeship, you will gain practical experience through direct involvement in the work of the European Commission, its agencies or other bodies.

You will acquire hands-on professional experience in an international environment.
You will develop key skills, including communication, teamwork and organisation.
You will apply your academic knowledge in practice.
You will work in a multicultural and multilingual setting.
You will strengthen your career prospects through recognised professional experience.
The nature of your work will depend on the service you are assigned to. Closing date Sept 4th.

Twice a year, the European Commission offers 5-month paid traineeships.

Our Hairdressing and Complementary Therapy students are enjoying a fantastic three-week mobility experience in Málaga.

Working in a professional environment, they are putting their skills and knowledge into practice while gaining invaluable vocational skills, confidence, independence, and new cultural experiences.

We were delighted to welcome Minister James Lawless and Deputy Ryan O'Meara TD to Tipperary FET College, Templemore, this week.
During their visit, they met our Hairdressing Apprenticeship learners and Youthreach students and heard first-hand about the diverse learning pathways available at our college.
The visit provided an excellent opportunity to showcase the vital role that Further Education and Training plays in supporting rural communities. As a locally based FET college within Tipperary ETB, we offer accessible, high-quality education and training that help learners achieve recognised qualifications, progress to higher education, develop career-ready skills, and participate in international experiences such as Erasmus+ mobilities with Léargas, all within their local community.
We are committed to ensuring that learners across our region can access opportunities that empower them to reach their full potential, regardless of their chosen pathway.
Thank you to Minister Lawless and Deputy O Meara for taking the time to visit our campus and for their interest in the work being carried out by our staff and students every day.

“I achieved 244 points in my Leaving Cert in 2017, but through my PLC results, I graduated with 2:1 honours for a course which required 420 points at the time.”

UL journalism graduate Martin Mongan has shared words of encouragement to those sitting this year’s Leaving Certificate, assuring them that "what is for you will not pass you by".

Martin shared an insight into his own journey, having secured his place at UL after completing a PLC (Post Leaving Certificate) course.
