For November's 'Developing Players, Teams and Coaches' conference, we are delighted to welcome Ger McTavish to the line-up for the event.
Currently working as Disability in Sport Lead at Sport Ireland and formerly the first Diversity & Inclusion Officer of the GAA, Ger has been a long-standing voice for accessibility, transparency and community engagement in sports leadership.
A sports scientist, Ger was honoured as one of the 50 Most Influential Women in Irish Sport in 2022. Her expertise lies in team management, athlete performance, and club development and her research focuses on physical literacy, performance development, and community development in sport.
Working closely with groups that might once have seen themselves as ‘outside’ the world of sport and Gaelic Games, in terms of ethnicity, gender, disability and more, she has created and delivered programmes on leadership, engagement and stakeholder awareness that are having a real positive impact across a significant portion of Irish sport and society.
