Exciting new project that the Climate Action Department in collaboration with the Arts Office and Community Department in Kilkenny County Council is rolling out during the Autumn/Winter period in the Thomastown Community Hall.

Join this exciting 6 week programme exploring textile waste streams and circular design. Connect through making and creating with waste materials such as untreated wool, cottons, denim off-cuts and wool packing.

These workshops combine hands?on making, seasonal awareness and real?world environmental engagement all of which align with the Earth charter, an international declaration of ethical principles and values for building a sustainable, just and peaceful global society.

What you up to on the evening of Dec 3rd? Join me for a Woolly Winter Wreath workshop! 😊

Take a little time out from the busyness of the season and join me for a cosy winter evening of creativity, hot drinks and mindful making.

Using colourful reclaimed woolly textiles, we'll create beautiful, tactile, one-of-a-kind wreaths to treasure and enjoy year after year.

A chance to slow down, get creative with textures and colours in a cosy setting and create something uniquely yours in a relaxed atmosphere.

No experience is necessary and all materials and refreshments are provided.

Time: 7pm – 8.30pm

Location: Enniscorthy, Wexford (exact location details will be shared upon booking)

Spaces are limited to allow for a relaxed and intimate experience. In past years these workshops have been very popular and booked out fast so early booking is advised 🤓

There is also option for a morning workshop on Sun 29th Nov which also includes yoga 🧘‍♂️ 😊 Details on the website.

Today is our last day of welcoming school groups to the Material World Tour experience. It's just been such a joy to engage with people of all ages along the way and bring our message to so many in this way. We've had close to 1000 students participate and learn over the last few weeks. I can't wait to show you some of the beautiful footage ._ captured of us all in action. 😃
The biggest thanks to and for bringing their magic to the Action Stations and making it all so fun, engaging, inspiring and educational for the students, and me!
We've had an absolute ball on the road with 🌎
Thanks so much to for enabling it all to happen. We are blown away by the impact and response it's had and so grateful for the opportunity 🙏

🌎 Material World 🌎

Lynn Haughton, designer of the Material World sculpture - will introduce her work in Gorey library at 6pm on October 6th.

Come explore a thought – provoking exploration of fashion, textile waste, creativity and our connection to the natural world.

All welcome, no need to book! If you can't make it on the day, pop in to see the exhibition any time between October 6th and 10th.

Gorey! We have a few slots left this week for our school tour groups in Gorey Library. Email [email protected] if you'd like to book a group in. It's free to attend and kindly funded by Wexford County Council.
