What a week it's been! After months and months of planning its been such a joy to see The Material World tour in full swing! We had 226 students come to our school tour over the past 3 days. Students learned all about materials - where they come from, ways we can be creative with materials that already exist, circular design thinking and all the ways we can enjoy fashion that are kinder to our planet. Thanks so much to for supporting this to happen, all the schools who came this week and to and - the Action Station facilitation extraordinaires ❤️
The exhibition is free to attend to visit in Wexford County Hall until next Friday before we move on to our next stop in Waterford Central library.

MATERIAL WORLD IS ON TOUR! 🙌✨️

Material World has officially begun its tour of Wexford and Waterford!
The exhibition centres around a large textile globe created from discarded clothing and journey's through an interactive clothes rail. The thought-provoking textile and climate action exhibition explores some of the challenges within our current system - while focusing on creativity and the possibilities of change.

The exhibition highlights what we can do — with action stations of ideas and inspiration for repairing, caring for, upcycling and reimagining our clothes. What if we design with the future in mind from the start?..

I’ve also developed facilitated school tours which will be taking place during the tour to bring the themes to life through discussion, investigation and demonstrations, as well as artist talk evenings offering an opportunity for groups and communities to come together, explore the exhibition and continue the conversation.

There is still some availability for both school tours and artist talk evenings throughout the tour. If your school, community group or organisation would like to take part in one of the factilitated sessions, please get in touch with me to book. Email [email protected]
These are free to attend.

📍 7–11 & 14–17 September — Wexford County Hall
📍 19–26 September — Waterford Central Library
📍 29 September–3 October — Dungarvan Library
📍 6–10 October — Gorey Library

The exhibition is FREE, open to everyone and can be visited during venue opening hours — no booking needed to come explore in your own time.
And while you're there, you’re invited to leave your own Message to Mother Earth as part of the installation. 🌍💚

Thanks so much to Wexford and Waterford County Council's for supporting this tour and enabling it to happen ✨️🙏
And to and for joining me in facilitating the school tours and evening sessions 🧵✨️

Hope to see you there! 🌎
