On April 21, the campus of the Faculty of Social Sciences at the University of Wrocław, located at 3 Koszarowa Street, was filled with a truly spring-like atmosphere. 🌸

The Faculty authorities, together with the Faculty Student Council, organised Hydrangea Day, combined with the symbolic opening of the newly renovated car park 🚗. The event was also attended by the University’s Rectorate authorities and friends of the Faculty 🫂.

The new car park offers around 250 spaces (including 10 designated for people with disabilities), as well as new pavements, bicycle stands, and benches. At the same time, the renovation of Koszarowa Street is nearing completion, making access to the increasingly beautiful campus even more convenient 🚴‍♂️.

From now on, 21 April will be associated not only with flowers, but also with the symbolic completion of an important stage of transformation 🌿

At our Faculty, teaching often goes beyond traditional formats 🎓

✨ Our academic staff regularly use engaging methods that actively involve students and make learning enjoyable.

One example is a recent class led by Dr Anna Cichecka, where students took part in a simulation of a UN negotiation session 🌍🤝 focused on future climate scenarios. Through role-playing, they explored how forecasting works in the social sciences, testing different perspectives and negotiating possible outcomes for the future ecological world order.

The session combined analytical thinking with creativity and collaboration and the atmosphere was truly excellent!

We are happy to share a few moments from the class with you 📸

This is also a good reminder that our Faculty offers a wide range of courses taught in English 🌐

As part of the conference "The History of the Art of Creating Change: 2nd Conference on Storytelling in NGOs", we’re hosting a special international panel!

For the first time, our conference will welcome guests from abroad, creating a unique opportunity to discuss the art of storytelling around ecology and climate change.

The programme will include discussions on developing educational games and monitoring urban noise pollution.

On behalf of the Dean’s authorities of the Faculty of Social Sciences, the Head Student Representative, and the Faculty Student Council, we are pleased to invite you to Hydrangea Day, which will take place on 21 April 2026 at 1 pm (CET) on the campus of the Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Wrocław, at 3 Koszarowa Street in Wrocław 🥰

The event is intended to celebrate the completion of the car park renovation on campus. The programme will include the planting of commemorative hydrangeas, as well as a short musical performance by our students 💪👏.
