St. Edward’s University will be closed in observance of Labor Day on Monday, September 7, 2026. All University buildings will require University credentials for access. No buildings will be open to the general public. Most buildings will be SEU ID access only from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Staff and faculty can always contact University Police at 512-448-8444 to gain access to a building during the Holiday if it is locked.

St. Frances was a Roman wife, mother, widow, religious founder, & caregiver to the poor & sick. She spent much of her life traveling around Rome serving people in need. Catholic tradition holds that she had a close relationship with her guardian angel who, when she traveled at night, went before her illuminating the road, protecting her from dangers along the way. Because of that tradition, Pope Pius XI named St. Frances of Rome the patron saint of motorists in 1925.
