BSC will hold a Service of Thanksgiving on Sunday, May 31, at 3 p.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church in gratitude for the divine providence that led to the Coast Guard purchase of the campus.

While the very best outcome would have been a thriving, stable BSC for generations to come, the handoff of the Hilltop to the Coast Guard -- who is committed to honoring the BSC legacy -- is surely the next best.

The BSC Alumni Choir will sing, and readings, prayers, and a couple of lovely surprises are in store for all.

Additional details to come, but please save the date and plan to join us. BSC no longer has the capacity to send mass emails, so please help spread the word to alumni, especially those who are not on social media.

Congratulations to BSC alumna (‘24), Grace Lazarre, on her acceptance to the The University of Alabama, where she will pursue her Masters in Library and Information Science. Grace, who was an English major at BSC, is excited to continue her education!

Congratulations to BSC alumna, Dr. Erica Lee!

Erica was recently honored with the UAB School of Education and Human Sciences “Exemplary Alumni Award”, for her accomplishments in the field of early childhood special education.

After graduating from BSC, Erica earned a MEd, EdS, and PhD from UAB - The University of Alabama at Birmingham.

Today, Erica is an Assistant Professor of Special Education at the University of Montevallo.

🇺🇸 Alabama, USA ➡️ Uzbekistan 🇺🇿

BSC alumnus, Thomas Woodham, graduated in 2018 from the Asian Studies program.

Since his days on The Hilltop, Thomas has traveled the world and lived in other countries, utilizing his knowledge of languages and cultural perspectives he learned at BSC. 🌍

Currently, he teaches high school English as a Foreign Language (EFL) in Uzbekistan.

BSC prepared Thomas for the world in ways he never thought possible, and he will always be grateful.

Congratulations BSC alumnus (‘94), Dr. David Daniel! After 30 years of music and worship ministry in the United Methodist Church, David is retiring from full-time ministry.

He will continue his work at Emory University’s Candler School of Theology, as he enters his tenth year as Assistant Professor in the Practice of Music Ministry and Director of Chapel Music.
