Real love gives. 🙌

This morning at HC Chapel, Pastor Vidal Solito shared a powerful message on the price of compassion, reminding students that genuine love calls us to action and sacrifice.

Thank you, Pastor Vidal, for encouraging our students to lead with compassion and reflect the love of Christ through a willingness serve others!

We asked our students what they learned from Author-in-Residence Dr. Lisa Harper today. Here’s what they said:

“I learned that God can ALWAYS redeem.”
“Grief and the awe of God can coexist.”
“There is no deadline on redemption!”
“You can be blessed beyond measure and still have bad days.”
“We don’t lead from a position title, but from walking in humility.”
“Never forget to meet people where they are with grace and kindness.”

Throughout chapel and sessions, Lisa Harper showed us that faith and suffering can coexist, that we are made in the image of God with inherent dignity, and that being loved by God compels us to love the world and carry one another’s burdens.

THANK YOU for pouring into our students and teammates. We are forever marked by today.

MAYHEM! 🏈

A night full of friendly competition, school spirit, and unforgettable moments with the HC Family!

Events like Mayhem remind us that community is an essential part of the Highlands College experience, bringing students together to build friendships and create memories that last beyond their college years.

Shoutout to all the teams who played and gave it their all!

After 16 years in the U.S. Army, Maj. Edward Graham answered a different call: ministry. Today, he serves as Chief Operating Officer of Samaritan’s Purse, leading teams on the ground after disasters such as Hurricane Helene and the Texas floods.

On November 11, he’s bringing that story to our Veterans Day Celebration. Whether you served or love someone who did, this morning is for you.

Intentional times of teaching and spiritual development provide opportunities for students to grow in their faith, build meaningful relationships, and gain biblical wisdom for the leaders God has called them to become.

Men’s and Women’s Chapel created space for these types of moments to happen tonight! 🕊️

We’re grateful for all God is doing in the hearts of our students!
