Brock School of Business has long history of achievements for business education at Samford, which has offered degrees in business and commerce since 1922. In 1965, the School of Business was established to offer both bachelor’s and master’s degrees in business. Alabama’s first part-time master of business administration degree program was established at Samford, and the first MBA degrees were awarded in 1967. Now, there are more than 800 students enrolled in bachelor’s and master’s degree programs. The business school was fully accredited by AACSB International in 1999 and reaccredited in 2010, 2015 and 2020. This recognition is earned by less than five percent of business schools worldwide.

A semester abroad turned into an award-winning research opportunity for senior Blake Andres! While studying at Finca de Samford in Costa Rica, Andres explored how sports teams build connections with fans across cultures and language barriers. His research earned a Best Abstract award at the 2026 Atlantic Marketing Association Conference!

🏀 Big opportunities start with hands-on experience!

Through SAM Group, a student-run marketing group in Brock School of Business, Sports Industry students are partnering with Samford women’s basketball players to build personal brands, develop social media strategies and connect with local businesses through NIL opportunities.

It’s a chance for students to put their skills to work while helping Bulldog athletes grow their brands and explore new opportunities beyond the court.
