As we celebrated Illinois Foundation Weekend this past weekend, we reflected on the lasting impact of those who helped shape LER into what it is today.

During a visit with Carl Soderstrom in Peoria, we had the opportunity to recognize the incredible legacy of his family. Reuben G. Soderstrom played an instrumental role in establishing the School of Labor and Employment Relations and securing funding for the building we call home today.

We're grateful for the Soderstrom family's continued connection to LER and the enduring impact of their support on generations of students, faculty, and alumni.
