After six years and countless cases, K-9 Marshall has officially retired from SIUE's police department.

His story started as a trained service dog, before COVID-19 changed his path. Marshall went on to learn a rare, highly specialized skill: sniffing out hidden electronic devices in some of law enforcement's hardest cases.

Det. Sergeant Dave Baybordi, Marshall's handler, described working alongside him as one of the most rewarding experiences of his career.

Time and again, Marshall found what human searchers missed.
