Who teaches young people how democracy works?

Join us next Wednesday for Dinner and Democracy with Lindsey Cormack, political scientist at Stevens Institute of Technology and author of “How to Raise a Citizen (And Why It’s Up to You to Do It).” Cormack argues that schools can’t carry civic education alone. Over dinner, she’ll share nonpartisan strategies parents, caregivers and communities can use to talk about politics at home and help young people see why participation matters.
