The College of Technology (COT) at Purdue University Northwest (PNW) is seeking a Part Time Administrative Assistant to the Associate Dean. The Assistant position will provide administrative support for Graduate Studies to the Associate Dean and assist community college outreach and articulation. This position will serve as the principal functional liaison between the Associate Dean, and the COT Dean, Department heads, faculty, staff, and students, as well as other University offices, such as the Graduate School, Enrollment Services and the International Programs office.

The PNW College of Technology congratulates PI Dr. Afshin Zahraee and Co-PIs Ali Tavallali and Dr. Suryeon Kim on securing an $8,000 grant from the Portage Wastewater Treatment Plant and the City of Portage. This award will support innovative research focused on advancing an AI-assisted system designed to enhance knowledge capture and improve decision-making in wastewater operations.

We especially recognize the leadership and initiative of D.Tech student Ali Tavallali, whose dedication and efforts were instrumental in moving this proposal forward. This project exemplifies the strength of applied research within the College and demonstrates how university-community partnerships can drive innovative solutions to real-world challenges.

Two department chairs from the Purdue University Northwest (PNW) College of Technology have been elected to national leadership positions on the Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration (CIEC), Engineering Technology Division (ETD), organized by the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).

• Maged Mikhail, Ph.D., Department Chair of Engineering Technology, will serve as the Assistant Vice Chair for Annual Programs for the Engineering Technology Division.
• Afshin Zahraee, Ph.D., Department Chair of Construction Science and Organizational Leadership, will serve as the Assistant Program Chair for the Conference for Industry and Education Collaboration.

Their volunteer service in these important roles shows our commitment to the engineering technology education community. These appointments reinforce PNW's leadership in shaping national engineering technology curricula and fostering vital industry-academic partnerships.
