Honoring Juneteenth Through History, Brotherhood, and Mentorship 💜💛

Juneteenth commemorates June 19, 1865, the day enslaved African Americans in Galveston, Texas, learned they were free more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was issued. It stands as a powerful reminder of freedom, resilience, perseverance, and the continuing journey toward equality.

Friday, June 19th, we honor that legacy by investing in the next generation.

A special thank you to the Men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., Kappa Omega Chapter, and the Fatherhood & Mentorship Program for taking the time to provide 8 young men with not only a memorable day at the ballpark, but also an important history lesson on the significance of Juneteenth.

Through mentorship, fellowship, and education, we continue to build young men of character while connecting them to the history, sacrifices, and achievements of those who came before them.

Thank you to the parents for trusting us with your young men, to the participants for representing the program with pride, and to the Bruhz who continue to pour their time, wisdom, and leadership into our future leaders.
