William Jewell College’s Music Day is an immersive music experience designed to give high school musicians a glimpse into life as a college music student.

The day is open to any high school musician- band, choir, orchestra, and keyboard. Students will engage in classes and interactive sessions with Jewell’s distinguished faculty, observe rehearsals, connect with Jewell students, and experience the collaborative, creative environment that defines Jewell’s music community.

Whether exploring music as a potential major or simply seeking a meaningful day of musical growth, Music Day offers an inspiring look at what it means to study music at the next level. Come spend the day on the hill!

On Saturday, Sept 19th, over 50 pianists, teachers, and family members attended William Jewell College's 3rd Keyboard Comments Day hosted by the piano area. Keyboard Studies Director Dr. Jessica Koebbe organized the event and invited Junior Piano Performance major Alex Brindle to join her in adjudicating piano students from the surrounding area. Nine area piano studios participated and several perspective students attended the event. Thank you to all who performed and to all the teachers and parents who helped make this day happen! We're already making plans for next year.

The music program at William Jewell College is delighted to present a free lecture by UMKC Conservatory graduate Naren Palomino Pardo on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 11 am in Pillsbury Music Center room 306. Naren will share expertise on South American rhythms. This lecture is open to students, faculty, and community members.
