Alpha Gamma Rho Omega Chapter invites the community to join our Charter Member and Indiana State Representative for District 1, Carolyn B. Jackson, as she hosts the final Town Hall in this statewide series, alongside members of the Indiana Black Legislative Caucus (IBLC).

This public event provides an opportunity to reflect on the past legislative session, help shape priorities for the upcoming session, and engage directly with members of the IBLC through questions about the legislative process and their role in it.

With heavy hearts, the members of Alpha Gamma Rho Omega Chapter extend our deepest condolences as we mourn the passing of our beloved Historian and Charter Member, Sister Janet Douglas. 🕊️💗💚

Sister Janet’s life was a beautiful reflection of sisterhood, service, wisdom, and love. As a Charter Member, she helped lay the foundation upon which our chapter continues to grow, and as our Historian, she helped preserve the memories and milestones that tell our story. Now, she forever becomes a treasured part of that history.

We surround her daughter, our Parliamentarian and Charter Member, Sister Karla Wiley, and the entire Douglas-Wiley family with our love, prayers, and unwavering support during this difficult time.

As we celebrate our Ivy Beyond the Wall, we will remember a life beautifully lived, a legacy beautifully shared, and a Sister who will never be forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Sister Janet. Your legacy lives on in Alpha Gamma Rho Omega. 🕊️💗💚

SERVICE IN ACTION | FAITH IN COMMUNITY

Alpha Gamma Rho Omega Chapter was proud to be represented by Sister Alicia Meeks at Valley Kingdom Ministries International’s Operation Jericho 3.0 Community Outreach Event on Sunday, August 30th.

Hosted simultaneously at three locations across Chicagoland, Sister Alicia joined members of Valley Kingdom Ministries International at Gloria Taylor Park in Harvey, Illinois, where the community gathered for praise, worship, fellowship, and Drive-Up Prayer.

With a heart for service, Sister Alicia lent her time and support to an afternoon centered on meeting people where they are, uplifting the community, and extending encouragement to those in need.

As Valley Kingdom Ministries International reminds us, “Church isn’t just where we gather. It’s who we are.”

We’re grateful for opportunities to stand alongside community partners and continue the work of service to all mankind. 💕🌿

Representing AGRO at the Program Launch

Alpha Gamma Rho Omega was proudly represented in Atlanta, Georgia, as our Chapter Vice President and Program Chairman, Jaméca Lozano-Lott, attended the Champion Administration Programming Launch joining thousands of members for the unveiling of the 2026–2030 International Program initiatives.

Led by International President & CEO Charletta Wilson Jacks, the launch welcomed 4,500 registered attendees and introduced all eight program targets alongside an impressive network of community partners committed to helping transform our communities.

International Program Chairman Tiffany Moore Russell helped bring each target to life, setting the stage for meaningful service and measurable impact over the next four years.

Sister Jaméca was also joined by Sister Denise Hunter, Vice President of Eta Kappa Omega Chapter, who volunteered in support of this historic launch.

We are excited for Jaméca to bring the inspiration, information, and vision of the Champion Administration home to Alpha Gamma Rho Omega as we prepare to turn these initiatives into impact in the communities we serve.

Back to School with Bubbles, Smiles & AGRO Energy!

Today, Alpha Gamma Rho Omega welcomed the families of Miller Elementary in Merrillville, Indiana, back to school with bubbles, smiles, and plenty of excitement!

From the school bus line to parent drop-off, our members were there to make the morning a little brighter. We cheered on kindergarteners beginning their very first day, celebrated fourth graders stepping into their next chapter, and shared warm greetings with parents as they sent their little ones off for a new school year.

The smiles said it all. A little encouragement, a few bubbles, and a whole lot of love made for a beautiful start to the day. 🫧✨

Celebrating Leadership at the Center

Alpha Gamma Rho Omega were honored to attend A Celebration at the Center, commemorating the installation of Dr. Nichole C. Wilson as Central Regional Director of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®.

Dressed in elegant white, Sisters from across the Central Region gathered at the Embassy Suites Event Center to celebrate this significant moment of leadership, sisterhood, and service.

Alpha Gamma Rho Omega proudly extends our heartfelt congratulations to Dr. Wilson as she begins this exciting chapter of regional leadership. We look forward to continuing the work of Alpha Kappa Alpha under her guidance and vision.
