With today's approval from the Alabama Commission on Higher Education, we are excited to launch the brand new Civic Leadership major which will be housed in the University of Montevallo Department of Communication this fall!

The program focuses on training students in ethical leadership and public accountability; communication, advocacy, and public engagement; civic knowledge, citizenship and social responsibility; and management, administration, and organizational leadership. The program will prepare students for the realities, complexities, and opportunities of civic life and career paths.

Congratulations to COMS alumna Mary White (Class of 2020) who was recently accepted to Central Michigan University's M.S. in Information Systems program! Starting this fall, she will be pursuing a specialization in Data Analytics and Project Management.
