Head Coach Tom Robbins on Nadia Clayton joining Saints program:
“We are very excited to have Nadia with us. Her senior year she played on the same AAU team as Allie Caldwell, so I was able to see her play a lot that year. I have always liked her as a player so when we saw she entered the transfer portal I reached out to Allie right away to see if we had a chance to get her with us. After some conversations between Allie and Nadia I was able to get a phone conversation with her to pitch our program and feel out what she was looking for. Then about a month later we were able to get her on campus for an official visit where she had a chance to meet the team and see what the campus was all about. We were overjoyed when she gave us a verbal commitment the next week. Nadia is tenacious at both ends of the floor and will bring a competitive 🔥 and toughness that we haven’t had. Wherever she has been she has been a fierce defensive player that can flat shut down an opponent. On the offensive end she plays with intelligence and is great at cutting into gaps behind the defense as well as getting downhill on the drive.”

Nadia played the last two seasons at Purdue Northwest. The Schererville native played high school ball at Lake Central.

We’re excited to welcome our newest commit, Nadia Clayton from Purdue Northwest!
Nadia, 5'8", played her high school ball at Lake Central where legendary coach Joe Huppenthal called her their defensive stopper.
Nadia will be a junior for Holy Cross this year and will be a part of one of the most experienced Saints teams in school history.

Off-season News from Coach Tom Robbins:

"We are still looking for one more game next year to complete our schedule. Our conference schedule has come out so those games are in place. We will open conference play at St. Francis on November 14th. We are also continuing to recruit a couple more players to complete our roster for next year as well. The 2027 recruiting efforts are also now in full swing."

Coach Robbins -- Do you have any early ideas about how the schedule could be different next season? And, how the CCAC may be different?

"We are losing two teams in the conference next season as Trinity Christian will be closing and St. Ambrose is moving to another conference. That means we will be playing a complete round robin conference schedule with 20 games between the 11 members. We are still waiting for the dates and matchups for those games to be released."

Coach Robbins - Do you have an indication of what Audrey Tallent will do after 👩‍🎓 graduation?
"Audrey has been accepted and will attend the McKinney School of Law of Indiana University on their campus in Indianapolis. We are very excited for her and wish her all the best in this next chapter. She continues the successful trend we’ve seen in our last three graduating classes of former players going onto successful transitions which includes individuals in medical school, dental school, business and organizational executives, schoolteachers, and master’s students at Notre Dame. We have been truly blessed with great people going on to do great things of which Audrey is among the best."
