MNU chemistry majors Avery Ferguson, Camryn Medina, and Kelli Adams attended the 2027 American Chemical Society Midwest Regional Meeting on the campus of K State University this weekend. Avery presented the results from her biochemistry REU at UT San Antonio, and the trio was able to network, collect info about graduate programs, and hear about research being done across the Midwest! The trip was paid for with Dr. Comadoll’s endowment funds 🙏🏼

Have you seen the newest addition to the Osborne animal collection? These may be the cutest yet! 🐣🐥

These Polish Crested chickens were picked out by Professor Kreshel and senior biology student Kristen James. They made their appearance last week and were about two days old in most of these pictures featuring the students in Dr. Speicher’s Animal Feeding and Nutrition class 🥹 of the 15, 10 are females and five of them have genders yet to be determined. Once they are big enough, they will eventually move to the newly remodeled Chicken Coop outside of Osborne! But while they’re still in the building, stop by the first floor of Osborne and give them some love… they’re very friendly and even cuter than that! 💛

Sweet success! 🐝🍯 last weekend, our students and Dr. Taylor got hands on with ecology and harvested 100 POUNDS of pure honey straight from our campus beehives. 👀

The fan favorite molecular biology lab… pipetting “paint by number” to teach precision and skill in micropipetting. Prof. Schwingen made this lab a hit when she taught the course over the last two years 💯 and Dr. Taylor kept it going this fall! Who says science and art can’t find common ground? 🧬🎨 we’re all better for it when they do! Which design is your favorite?

Join us in celebrating with these NHMS alumni from the classes of 2025 and 2026 who are continuing their education in various locations all over the country! Abigail studied kinesiology with a minor in chemistry and was a member of the Innovation Academy. She was accepted to the program at Cleveland through our partnership program!

Allyssa studied chemistry and biology, while Ian studied kinesiology with a minor in chemistry. Both were members of the Innovation Academy. They were accepted to med school at KCU through our partnership program!

Bella studied kinesiology with a minor in chemistry. You may see Coach Leon around campus this fall, as she is serving as a seasonal assistant coach for women’s soccer until her program begins in January!

Ella studied kinesiology with minors in health and wellness as well as strength and conditioning. She was a member of the Innovation Academy.

James studied computer science with a minor in mathematics.

Daisy studied biology and chemistry with minors in physics and mathematics.

Yair studied biology and chemistry. He was a member of the Innovation Academy.

Malachi studied kinesiology with a minor in chemistry. He was accepted to the program at Cleveland through our partnership program!

Many of the students highlighted in this post were accepted to their graduate program through that university’s partnership with MNU. 👀 Check out this list of partnerships we have in place and talk to your advisor for more info. One of these partnerships might one day help YOU pursue your future goals!

And that’s a wrap! 🎓 CONGRATS to the class of 2026!!! We are so proud of your accomplishments (special shoutout to Collin Downey for winning the American Heritage Award! 💯) please don’t be strangers, or that goofy kid in the last photo will be really sad… so, make sure you check in every once in a while. 🤣😂 We will miss you all and will continue to pray for you. Go out there, do your best, represent Christ to a world that REALLY needs Him.
